I connected with Del-Air sales coordinator and then Mr. S[redacted], who responded swiftly and got all the problems resolved by Friday (11/6).

I'm so thankful for the professional standard Del-Air was able to deliver with customer satisfaction in mind. I'd highly recommend the services from Del-Air.

I had signed up for the maintenance program to make sure that we didn't have mold in our AC units and to check the overall health of our system. I am really sorry I went to Del-Air for that.

The service call started out fine and the technician did the usual maintenance. Then he told me there might be a slow leak on one of our units. I paid the fee to have him check. Mind you, the AC was working and cool air was coming out of the vents before he did all this. Then he confirmed that there was a slow leak somewhere on the condenser outside. When I asked why the cool air wasn't back yet after doing his test, he said it would come back on in about an hour. The "valve" had to open to let the freon out before it would cool again. He left.

I called Del-Air back because I had noticed this tech left some screws around the other unit. I was worried that he might have forgotten to put them back when he reassembled the unit. He said that he just replaced the screws and that those were just extras.

After a little over an hour, I called Del-Air back because the unit still was not cooling. They sent another tech. When he arrived, he said that there was no Freon in the system. Also, the circuit breaker was off for the outside unit. He said he would have to charge me to refill the unit. I had no choice, so I agreed and I figured I would complain to a manager in the morning.

He then came back to me to show that the unit could not hold any Freon. It was a big leak. There was no one else to call. so, I had to give up for the day. No AC now.

My neighbor gave me the number for a local, more reputable AC repair place. The tech had come by to see if the coil could be repaired somehow but it couldn't. He also showed me a self tapping screw that was in the unit that probably punctured the coil to begin with.

When I spoke to the manager from Del-Air, he told me the tech said that he shut off the outside unit because it couldn't hold Freon. I told him that the tech told me a different story. So I guess he lied to me that the cool air would come back in an hour.

They gave me 2 options. First, to repair the coil with a new one. That would take at least a week to order. About $2000+ to get it done. Only a year warranty. No offer to repair it even though it was blatantly obvious what happened. I'm not saying it was necessarily a scam, but they should have taken responsibility. Instead, I just got a blank stare and an "I don't know what to tell you" when I met the manager. If someone broke something, they should be honest and offer to repair it at their expense. If I went in to the shop to have my flat tire repaired and it fell off while I was driving because they didn't tighten the nuts, they should be liable.

Second option was to get a new one for about $5000 with a 10 year warranty. This would be done within a day or two. Since it was really hot in the house, I had to go for option two. Now I'm out $5000+ for a maintenance call.

Let this serve as a warning to anyone thinking of using them.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.... PLEASE READ. I contacted Del-Air due to my home not cooling properly. When making the initial appointment, I was made aware of the $79 service charge (which was fine). On the day of the appointment, I received a phone call from Del-Air asking if I still needed services (uh, yes), reminded of the $79 service charge and asked how I would be paying (cash, check or CC). When I gave my choice of payment, the service rep. told me a tech was on the way and then hung up. Now I'm sitting there wondering if they're on the way from two hours away or five minutes (not impressed at this point). Approximately 30 minutes later, the tech shows up at my door. Here's what transpired next......

As soon as I opened the door and exchanged introductions with the tech, he says to me "You are aware of the $79 charge?" Not sure what would have happened had I said no, but after assuring him that he would indeed be paid the $79, he went to "work". After about an hour of being at my

I built a kb home in bradenton, fl in 2013. In june 2014, my a/c during the day while I was at work. Multiple calls to del-air went unanswered starting at 8 p.m. that night. So much for after hours emergency service. My pets were in distress and the temp continued to rise, peaking at 88 degrees. I received a return call from del-air after I made angry phone calls to kb home emergency number. My a/c was fixed around midnight.

Less than two weeks ago, my neighbor across the street experienced the same issue with her a/c. She first reached out to del-air around noon, and after 5 p.m., she still hadn't received a return call. She did hear back from them later that evening and was told they didn't have time to come out. Her a/c was not working for 24+ hours before del-air resolved the issue.

In short, there is no after hours or emergency service from this company, so what's the point in providing customers with an emergency 800 number with the installation of their HVAC units?

They have come to my house 5 times since 26-July 2016 to fix a condensate leak. Spent more than $ 1,000. Today two technicians showed up, supposedly with the parts needed to fix it; a new pan for the evaporator and a new overflow pan. This was the third warranty visit. They reported I had an sever coil leak and the unit needed to be replace. They left no paperwork but did sit their truck a few hours.

We've used Del-Air [redacted] for 12 years. Our seven year old unit went out due to a lightning hit and, despite their claim of 24/7 service, we were without A/C for more than a day before they could get a technician to us. The unit went belly up two years later, and once again we were without A/C for two days before the new unit could be installed. The new unit stopped working this June at only two years old. We called on a Thursday evening and they couldn't get anyone out until Saturday. I begged for faster service due to a house guest and elderly pets, but they claimed they were slammed because it's summertime. It was over 90 degrees in the house before we had A/C again. Only two months later and our two year old unit began having trouble again. This time the indoor part was running very loud. I called in the afternoon and they were able to get someone out the next day. He told us the blower was going out and needed to be replaced, but the part had to be ordered and wouldn't be in until the end of the week. It was made clear the unit could stop running at any time. I was unhappy at the prospect of being without A/C again should that occur, so I called and spoke with a supervisor who told me the part would be in the following day, and that someone would call when it came in to set-up installation. The following day I had not heard from Del-Air by 4 o'clock, and when I called I was told the tech was coming to our house next. It was fortunate I happened to be home and thought to call, otherwise I wouldn't have known he was coming until he was on his way. I also expressed concern to the supervisor that the new unit we got may be a lemon, but she assured me that every A/C unit has trouble in the summer since they run 24/7 and work so hard. I said that was odd since our first unit had no problems for seven years. Plus, none of my friends or neighbors have had trouble with their units that frequently. We have also never benefited from their supposed 24/7 service, even when our A/C has been completely out in the middle of summer. Needless to say, I'm feeling very uncomfortable with the level of service, and the reliability of service, we have received from this company. I will say, however, that they have very nice employees.

Today I had the occasion to use Del-Air and could not say enough to express my pleasure with them. The request for service was prompt, the tech was on time, early to be exact. He inspected the unit, found the problem, gave us a quote and fixed the air conditioning unit for the exact amount he quoted us. I had the occasion to use another company and found out they overcharged me and told me a lie about a problem that didn't exist. Del-Air was GREAT. You can trust them.
