Review: I was a student started October 2012 ...to be graduating sept 2013..I have not been given a clear reason why I was taken out of classes in June of 2013... Good student always attended Helpful doing what's right but was given leave a me would have to start over cosmetology in October of 2013......I requested a transcript and was denied it...I would a transcript to match my report for all the credits ... I was also denied the rights to class during the month ending November to December 2012. I want a reason.. And would like a copy of my transcripts now..I called financial aid and they said that its not any fault of theirs. Thank you [redacted]Desired Settlement: Transcript

[redacted] first enrolled in our Cosmetology program on October*, 2012 It was anticipated that she would receive student loans to pay for her tuition; therefore, we did not require her to make any down payment for her program. Within the first month of school it was discovered that there was a problem with her financial aid due to a prior enrollment at a different school. The problem was over-lapping loan periods. [redacted] was informed of the problem and together, in our office, we contacted her previous school and our financial aid management company in an effort to rectify the situation. It was later determined that due to a lack of funding, she would have to be terminated from the program until such time that she would become eligible for the loan funds because she was not in a position to make payments on her own. Upon her termination on November **, there was a balance due the school; however, we did not seek any payments from [redacted]. It was explained to [redacted] that she would have to remain out of school for a period of 6 months to become eligible for aid.

[redacted] called and asked if she would be allowed to return to school sooner if she did not retain any of the hours from the prior enrollment; She did return to school on January **, 2013; however because she was re-enrolling in the same program, she was still not able to receive loan funding. These are regulations beyond our control. [redacted] MUST remain out of school for 6 months to become eligible for funding.

We have NOT sent her account to a collection agency in the hope that [redacted] would return to school as she had stated she would like to do. [redacted] did receive 384 hours of instruction as well as books and supplies without the school receiving any payment from any source for the balance due.

We did receive a request for her transcript; however, it is the school policy withhold all transcripts until all fees have been paid.
