Review: On February 21st, 2013 I purchased a headstone for my wife at Wescott Funeral Home in [redacted], and once it arrived in late May it had the incorrect date on the stone. I informed them of this matter and they said it would be replaced. Instead, someone attempted a repair, and it was/is so poor that you can still (clearly) see the old date. I have pictures of this and can provide them if needed.

After contacting them again, they said that they would replace the stone and agreed that it was a poor repair. This was also at the end of May. I have been in contact with them almost every week since then and they are not resolving the issue.Desired Settlement: All I want is a correct (new) headstone placed, or my money back. I would also like this to be done in a reasonable length of time, as this has been going on since the end of May with no end in sight.

Mr. [redacted] came to us in March to have a marker designed for his recently deceased wife (whom we had the privilege of caring for). We subcontract our markers from a company in [redacted] (which Mr. [redacted] knew). The marker company is only in our area to deliver every three months (which we told Mr. [redacted]). The marker did arrive with a wrong date (an 8 rather than a 3). The marker company owner thought he could repair the date which he did. Attached is picture(labeled repaired). Mr. [redacted] was not satisfied with the repair. We ordered a new marker in June which was delivered and set right after Labor Day (there was a delay due to the monsoon weather as much of the work can’t be done in those conditions). Attached is finished marker photo labeled Replaced). Mr. [redacted] visited our office frequently and was given the status of the marker’s progress. We wish we could have made the progress move faster but we have the challenge of distance of the company and weather conditions.
