In November 2015, I paid a deposit for an apartment with WestDale Properties at Berkley Drive St Catharines Ontario My brother [redacted] and I both signed the lease and were to move in The lease was to begin February 1st Shortly after, in Early December 2015, I called the leasing agent; [redacted] to tell her that circumstances had changed and that we no longer needed the apartment I asked her if our deposit would be returned given the length of time we were giving notice (months) before the lease was to begin She told me that yes it would be returned as long as the apartment was rented for February 1st or before Approximately two-three weeks later, I called and emailed [redacted] to see if the apartment was rented for the first of Feb in hopes of my deposit being returned sooner than later considering the amount She informed me that it had been rented and she was waiting on the new renters deposit and lease signing This all transpired in the month

they won't address issues or living conditions (pests within the building ) until you've served them papers from the tenancy board and then they will make an effort. I've had 5 people and couple all with decent credit (700+) and a really good monthly income (3200+) trying to take over my lease and they've denied every single one of them with no explanation why or cosign options.

My friend And I moved into 86 Highfield Park drive in October and when we moved in we didn't notice the broken door we have contacted the property in October and they have sent many contractors to check out the door. It is now February and they still have not fixed the doors. The storm door is garbage, a man came and fixed it and the next day another man came and installed a broken part on it, the main metal door is bent on the top and bottom so there is not a tight seal, also the door knob does not work, I went to the property yesterday and asked about it and they gave me a phone number for a man named Mathew Waller and when I called the phone number it did not give me the option to enter his extension, so I called the emergency line again and they took all my information and I explain the situation to the lady on the phone and she told me that no one will be able to contact me till Monday. I have contacted the tenancy board.

We have to keep our heat up to 25 at all times and the apartment will only get to 17 degrees! All my plants are dying, our power bill is out of control, and my pet rabbit is suffering from the constant breeze of cold air coming into the apartment.

The property management is not willing to help us in this matter!
