Westdale Used Car Super Store Reviews (2)

Went here a hole back to see about trading my vehicle in for a truck, never again will I come back hereAt first everything was good the guy was alright and seemed to be extremely helpfulWe finally found a truck I liked and started talking numbers, I believe we agreed to 23k with a 5k before I agreed to this I asked specifically if the was before the down payment he assured me it was, don't remember the guy's name but his last name was monkHe did tell me that the truck was just taken in on a trade in and it was not going to be detailed I said ok but I really assumed they at least looked at the mechanics of itAnyways, I was set into a room with a gentleman named ***, he works in the finance area at the one on Wiley Blvd same as monk, he was basically telling me everything that monk had assured me of as we were going through the BLANK paper workHe would show me a blank page walk me through what we had already agreed on than have me sign it, again the pages were blank and I should of realized that was a major red flagAs we were going through some of the warranties you can get which were described to me as complimentary because "McGrath wants to take care of the people who take care of them", psssh, I was told all I had to do was sign and all these were gifted to meI get home and I receive a phone from [redacted] saying that he was going to have to send me more accurate paper work in the mail, I was a skeptical as to why but just said okI later find out that all these complimentary things have costed me 5k and that my down payment had to been applied before the 23k we agreed to not afterSo I naturally I call the sales "man" that sold me the vehicle to get all these extras canceled multiple times left messages and never received a return phone call; so when I realize that I am not going to get a return phone I just showed up one day right when they openedThis monk character must of seen me pull up because one of the other guys said he was just with him and he said he saw me pull up and would be out in a secondSo I'm sitting there at this guys desk for like minutes when the guy that spoke to me when I came in said he would go see what's keeping him, he comes back to inform me that he must of left out of the back to go to a different locationHmm, so far so good right? Finally I decide to call a different location and explain to them what was going on I talked to a gentleman that said he was going to take to one of the McGraths and give me a call back I thought for sure I wouldn't here from him again, and I did not, I actually received a phone from the [redacted] guy that had me signing blank paperworkIt would seem I finally talked to someone who could get that location to do something because he assured me that he would make sure it was canceled within a few days and that normally it takes a couple weeksWith everything that had happened prior to its obvious as to why I didn't trust a word this guy was saying so I kept calling the bank and asking if there was 5k that came off the loanThey did finally get the "free extras" that costed me 5k canceled but the loan amount was still at 23k so where did my 5k down payment go?!?! So this place nearly took me for 10k on top of the 23k we agreed on they did still get an extra 5k off of me but I will never come here againI even specifically told these people I wanted to keep my payments kind of low and there way of trying to help me do that is add an extra 10k which roughly adds $to my payment a monthBecause the loan amount was for the truck and the "free extras" not including my downpayment ,lord only knows where that went, I have to pay the monthly payment that it was before I got the "free extras" canceledI have always heard bad things about pat McGrath car stores but I assumed that they really couldn't be that bad but I was way offThis type of thing could of easily crippled someone who was really on a tight budget luckily I was not in that boat and I pray to God that this review helps people avoid this placeI was incredibly reluctant to leave this review, I don't like to let people know I was taken but like I said if it helps someone avoid this place it did some good

Went here a hole back to see about trading my vehicle in for a truck, never again will I come back here. At first everything was good the guy was alright and seemed to be extremely helpful. We finally found a truck I liked and started talking numbers, I believe we agreed to 23k with a 5k before I agreed to this I asked specifically if the 23 was before the down payment he assured me it was, don't remember the guy's name but his last name was monk. He did tell me that the truck was just taken in on a trade in and it was not going to be detailed I said ok but I really assumed they at least looked at the mechanics of it. Anyways, I was set into a room with a gentleman named [redacted], he works in the finance area at the one on Wiley Blvd same as monk, he was basically telling me everything that monk had assured me of as we were going through the BLANK paper work. He would show me a blank page walk me through what we had already agreed on than have me sign it, again the pages were blank and I should of realized that was a major red flag. As we were going through some of the warranties you can get which were described to me as complimentary because "McGrath wants to take care of the people who take care of them", psssh, I was told all I had to do was sign and all these were gifted to me. I get home and I receive a phone from [redacted] saying that he was going to have to send me more accurate paper work in the mail, I was a skeptical as to why but just said ok. I later find out that all these complimentary things have costed me 5k and that my down payment had to been applied before the 23k we agreed to not after. So I naturally I call the sales "man" that sold me the vehicle to get all these extras canceled multiple times left messages and never received a return phone call; so when I realize that I am not going to get a return phone I just showed up one day right when they opened. This monk character must of seen me pull up because one of the other guys said he was just with him and he said he saw me pull up and would be out in a second. So I'm sitting there at this guys desk for like 10 minutes when the guy that spoke to me when I came in said he would go see what's keeping him, he comes back to inform me that he must of left out of the back to go to a different location. Hmm, so far so good right? Finally I decide to call a different location and explain to them what was going on I talked to a gentleman that said he was going to take to one of the McGraths and give me a call back I thought for sure I wouldn't here from him again, and I did not, I actually received a phone from the [redacted] guy that had me signing blank paperwork. It would seem I finally talked to someone who could get that location to do something because he assured me that he would make sure it was canceled within a few days and that normally it takes a couple weeks. With everything that had happened prior to its obvious as to why I didn't trust a word this guy was saying so I kept calling the bank and asking if there was 5k that came off the loan. They did finally get the "free extras" that costed me 5k canceled but the loan amount was still at 23k so where did my 5k down payment go?!?! So this place nearly took me for 10k on top of the 23k we agreed on they did still get an extra 5k off of me but I will never come here again. I even specifically told these people I wanted to keep my payments kind of low and there way of trying to help me do that is add an extra 10k which roughly adds $200 to my payment a month. Because the loan amount was for the truck and the "free extras" not including my downpayment ,lord only knows where that went, I have to pay the monthly payment that it was before I got the "free extras" canceled. I have always heard bad things about pat McGrath car stores but I assumed that they really couldn't be that bad but I was way off. This type of thing could of easily crippled someone who was really on a tight budget luckily I was not in that boat and I pray to God that this review helps people avoid this place. I was incredibly reluctant to leave this review, I don't like to let people know I was taken but like I said if it helps someone avoid this place it did some good.
