Tonight on November 23, 2018, I shopped in one of your Western Beef supermarkets about 4:45pn in The Bronx located on 180th Street and Webster Blvd (2050 Webster Avenue, Bronx NY 10457). The incident was invasive, intrusive, and very threatening by your workers and the security this store use. Without witnessing or viewing tape or video the security accused my mate of stealing and employees chimed in with taunts and threats. An innocent person was accused and told by a worker "do not to come back or you will be broke up." It got so bad I had to call the police(4:52pm). I am filing a complaint and I am requesting you to review your cameras/tape/video and for this issue be addressed as soon as possible.

 I don't appreciate being ignored, I believe your business is corrupted and as a curdousty, there should be a signifant gift card involve.  I should receive a serious gift card on my next purchase.

Review: Yesterday, I made a purchase of $64.94 on my AMEX Serve credit card. However, there was an error during the processsing of the payment on their computerized register system and the [redacted] assisting the cashier asked that I swipe again because "the payment did not go through." In good faith I swiped again, however, there is a duplicate charge on my AMEX Serve account. After speaking with [redacted] on the phone ###-###-#### yesterday, I went back to Western Beef and spoke with [redacted]) and [redacted] (Head Cashier) and explained to them that the reversal process with AMEX Serve is quite simple, all that is needed for an immediate reversal is Western Beef's Merchant ID# . When I asked to use their phone as a courtesy to call AMEX Serve toll free ###-###-####, I was informed that the phone was "busy" when I asked if they had another line they said "no." [redacted] asked me to speak with [redacted], I did not have the opportunity to speak with her . In turn I asked to speak with the [redacted], the [redacted] asked me to call [redacted]. Yesterday, I called [redacted], she did not respond to my call. I sent a text to [redacted] on the same day, she responded briefly, that I would be refunded at the latest this morning but the issue is not resolved, when all that AMEX needed was the merchant ID #. AMEX even explained directly on the phone with [redacted] that for an immediate reversal all AMEX neededwas the Merchant ID # he still did not provide the Merchant ID # even after [redacted] acknowledged that indeed my card was swiped twice Today I spoke with [redacted] at the main office ###-###-#### she acknowledges that she sees the duplicate charge in the system but cannot provide the Merchant ID # either.Desired Settlement: Refund my AMEX Serve card. It was swiped using the credit option.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Western Beef, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint was NOT resolved by Western Beef. I received a call from [redacted] on 4-*-14, ###-###-####. She wanted a conference call right then, however, I mentioned to her that I would return her call. When I called the number above it would just ring and ring. The proper way for the conference call was to call AMEX first so that I can enter private information and then connect with them. I received run around after run around by Western Beef. AMEX was willing to resolve on the same day just by Western Beef providing their merchant ID. The matter was resolved on 4-*-14 via AMEX.

Review: 0n 11/**/2013 around 8:00-08:15, I visited the Western Beef Supermarket located at [redacted]. As I was about to enter the store I was stopped by the store personnel who stated I must leave my bag in the front. I told the store personnel that despite the size of the bag that this is my personal weekend bag (large canvas totebag) which hold my personal belongings. He stated he did not care and pointed to the store sign about bag packs or large container not allowed in the store. But my bag was not a backpack but a large canvas tote bag. The store personnel told me to take my personal belongings out and leave the bag in the front with him. I requested to see a manager. Instead of coming out with a manager. He brought out his co-worker (his peer) who had on a bag pack. They also implied that I will be using my bag to shoplift items from their store. I felt so humiliated and degraded. I have been shopping at Western Beef for fifteen yrs. Never once was I subjugated to this type of treatment that I received from the store personnel. The security guard / store personnel made me feel lower than dirt. Also, I have shopped at [redacted] with an oversized gym bag and never did they ask me to check my bag at the front door. Neither does the NYPD stopped me in the train station with my oversized gym bag so what is Western Beef excuse for wanting me to check my personal canvas tote bag in the front. That was the only bag that I was carrying.Desired Settlement: A personal apology and gift certificate for the embarrassment that I encountered at the store. The store personnel who on duty at the front should be reprimanded or terminated because that is not how you treat customer who wants to spend their money to provide food for their family

Western Beef’s Vice-President [redacted] called the customer and explained to her how much Western Beef values its. [redacted] offered an apology and a $20.00 gift certificate to our stores. [redacted] accepted the apology and the gift certificate and showed to be satisfied with our commitment to make a better experience for her and all our customers.

I am still waiting on receiving my 25 gift certificate from Western Beef. I got in contact with [redacted] and I am still waiting on my gift certificate to arrive in the mail.

For the past ten years or so my mother has been shopping at Western Beef. One day I checked her receipt and found at least two prices that were not as advertised so, from that moment on I decided to go do her groceries and have been doing so for the past six years ninety percent of the time I've caught either one or a few items that were not what was advertised for.
I check the shelf and let's say I see Wesson oil $5.99 a gallon when I go pay the charge is $8.99 a gallon, when I question the manager they say that they forgot to remove it.
I could go on and write a book on the items I have found to be wrongly priced. It is a never ending battle, I'm just concern for those senior citizens that get robbed from Western Beef all the time. Thanks for letting me share this

Review: I have been shopping at my local Western Beef for twenty years and I was told the following:I was told by local Western beef location [redacted]. on [redacted]. Due to my 20 years of loyalty of shopping at that same location I could receive a day of donation from 6:00 to 7:00 pm by the manager. I ask you to contact the manager at the of this location to arrange a day of severity, so may collect the donations. I also need a letter head from your company stating the day of donations date and time, to show upon the day to the manager and security staff. In addition there has been prior threats and violence upon my life and my family from staff workers and customers. I have made the managers and the manager Emmanuel aware of the issue and nothing has been done. Emmanual harass a family member of mine of for no reason. This is my local grocery store and I and my family as paying customers have every right to shop there. The staff is extremely unprofessional and the check out is extremely slow and they did not give me the day of donation as they promise.I need the day of donation as they stated and promise. Prior receiving this complaint Ms. R[redacted] reply to and e-mail sent to our office by [redacted] in which she also asked for a day of donation, Miss R[redacted]'s e-mail was to ask [redacted] to specify what was exactly that she is asking for being that " A DAY OF DONATION" is not a familiar term to our company. [redacted] never respond or follow Western Beef's donation request procedure as she was asked to. At this time Western Beef's answer is the same. [redacted] needs to follow procedure in order to request any type of donations and also needs to specify what is that she is asking for. We appreciate her being a loyal customer, but unfortunately cannot help her if we do not know what she needs from Western Beef. As per the harassment accusations, the store manager Manuel has been interviewed and he does not recall the incident o r promising any customer anything. Manuel is well aware of Donation requests procedure and that all decisions are handling by Western Beef's Main Headquarters.

Manual loses creditability and R[redacted] losses creditability. I was promise by the western beef manager I would receive a day of donation. $2000.00 worth of items at no charge as I stated to a Kathy R[redacted] on an recent email. Emanuel did harass me and my family. I believe they are siding with one another.
