The provider is contracted with my health insurance carrier, [redacted], however they insist on billing me for my out of pocket expenses (deductible, co-ins, copays) even though my insurance explanation of benefits and through confirmation in their claims department, I pay these amounts to my insurance, not the providers. They are either not correctly interpreting their payment voucher, or choosing to charge more than the contractual allowable. When contacting their customer service department to explain the situation to them for the third consecutive month, I was informed that the issue was my problem and that I needed to contact the insurance company and then have them contact the provider or risk being sent to collections. This is extremely poor customer service!
