Thank-you for the opportunity to respond At Western we try our very best to serve our valued customers; obviously in this case, we are unable to meet Ms***'s expectations We have seen the truck once since purchase and that was on Sept1, 2016, Repair Order [redacted] A no-charge lube oil filter was completed, tire rotation for $and an visual inspection of tires along with measuring the tread depth (10/on the fronts, 12/on the rears) No abwear was seen, tread depth was reasonable for KM (13,287) She did not request an alignment check and we had no reason to sell one given what we saw and measured. It is our understanding from her telephone conversation that the dealership in Winnipeg has found the alignment out quite a bit on the front wheels thus causing the increased wearThe tire wear when we saw the truck in September was normal Ms [redacted] did not mention of any unusual steering, handling or ride quality issues when she brought the truck to us on Sept1, We saw nothing to indicate an out-of-alignment situation It is our reasonable conclusion that something between September 1, and January has caused the alignment to go out of spec (e.ghitting a pot hole, curb, driving rough roads/terrain or some other impact)Regardless, tire wear is not covered by the manufacturer under any warranties. We recognize the high cost of tires and as mentioned above, we truly value our customers and want them to enjoy their vehicle purchased as Western That is why we provided a cheque of $to cover have of the cost of replacing the two tires Regrettably, after reaching an amicable agreement and sending the cheque, this does not seem enough We feel that we not only have acted in a professional manner, despite being sworn at and threaten by her father, that we have taken all reasonable steps Unfortunately that our attempt at "goodwill" has failed We believe we have met all of our responsibilities, attempted to reach out and go beyond our obligations and expectationsAs well,we believe GM has met their warranty obligations

I am truly sorry to have this situation reach this pointVery simply, we made a pricing mistake when we updated our pricing - which we do on a regular basis with all of our
vehiclesWe undertake this practise to ensure our pricing is competitive in the marketI have attached a copy of our pricing log for this vehicle outlining the changes we have made to its price since it went into inventory
As explained to *** before she came in, we apologized for the mistake,*** In this case we simply and unknowingly entered a "4" instead of "8"Once the error was noted, we immediately changed the price to its intended amount of $38,which is approximately $below our cost as we want to sell this vehicle ASAP
I understand that after talking with our Sales Manager, *** *** having this error explained to her, *** still came in to look at the *** During her visit she found a *** *** that was more to her liking and budget
Regrettably I am not able to sell her the A

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

The service that was provided was an oil change, tire rotation and tire tread depthThey failed to notice the uneven wear on my tires when the rotation was completed and therefore did not diagnose the misaligned tires. Yes, I received the cheque in the mail yesterday and attempted to
deposit it via my online banking app, as I obviously do not have a vehicle to drive to a bankIt has not been deposited into my account as of today. *** ***

Thank-you for the opportunity to respond.  At Western we try our very best to serve our valued customers; obviously in this case, we are unable to meet Ms. [redacted]'s expectations.  We have seen the truck once since purchase and that was on Sept. 1, 2016, Repair Order [redacted].  A no-charge lube oil filter was completed, tire rotation for $33.00 and an visual inspection of tires along with measuring the tread depth (10/32 on the fronts, 12/32 on the rears).  No abnormal wear was seen, tread depth was reasonable for KM (13,287).  She did not request an alignment check and we had no reason to sell one given what we saw and measured. It is our understanding from her telephone conversation that the dealership in Winnipeg has found the alignment out quite a bit on the front wheels thus causing the increased wear. The tire wear when we saw the truck in September was normal.  Ms. [redacted] did not mention of any unusual steering, handling or ride quality issues when she brought the truck to us on Sept. 1, 2016.  We saw nothing to indicate an out-of-alignment situation.  It is our reasonable conclusion that something between September 1, 2016 and January 2017 has caused the alignment to go out of spec (e.g. hitting a pot hole, curb, driving rough roads/terrain or some other impact). Regardless, tire wear is not covered by the manufacturer under any warranties. We recognize the high cost of tires and as mentioned above, we truly value our customers and want them to enjoy their vehicle purchased as Western.  That is why we provided a cheque of $735 to cover have of the cost of replacing the two tires.  Regrettably, after reaching an amicable agreement and sending the cheque, this does not seem enough.  We feel that we not only have acted in a professional manner, despite being sworn at and threaten by her father,  that we have taken all reasonable steps.  Unfortunately that our attempt at "goodwill" has failed.  We believe we have met all of our responsibilities, attempted to reach out and go beyond our obligations and expectations. As well,we believe GM has met their warranty obligations.
