Poor quality
Took me over a year to receive the "kit" including a fan and the solar panel. It came with the fan but nothing else. Sent emails and called. No emails were answered and the calls were answered by stories of inventory problems. After another 3 months of waiting I called again and no answer. Got email after 4 months from receiving fan and said production and ship so I was cautiously optimistic. Nothing. More emails were left unanswered. About 7 months went by and the heat was getting bad. I called and was told I would get a tracking number. Nothing. Almost a year after receiving the fan I ginslly received my panel. I could finally get it hooked up only to find out the fan doesn't work. Now I'm fighting to get a replacement. First I was told one would be sent out. Weeks went by and no fan. It's super hot and I have no working fan to use for the money I spent. I want to have faith but this is getting ridiculous. I just want the "kit" I paid for over a year ago.

I ordered a solar fan in Sept 2019 and despite numerous emails with Chris Woyewodzic who also operates solarfans.net, I have yet to receive the fan. The emails promise shipping "soon" and direct me to watch email for tracking numbers but to no avail. I have asked for a refund and received a curt reply from him indicating he would cancel the order but I have not received or been notified of the refund.

ince the Revdex.com is a public forum, and related to my company
specifically this information is fairly permanent, I have taken a couple of
days to respond in a forum that will be read by any customer whom comes to my
company to purchase. As such, this being
a public record I want to make sure that the public understands I am dealing
with a problem customer during a time of a “crisis”. This customer, whom I desperately want to
publish the name of but wont, is not being honest here. It’s a deliberate dishonest statement, I
question the intent and agenda about it, but since I have no control over what
someone chooses to do in a public forum I want to make sure publicly this
person is held accountable.I want to mention up front, this person has out right lied
in print in this complaint and also has entered a phone number in her order
where no one answers the phone and different phone number in this forum where
no one answers the phone. Several
attempts were made to contact this customer and she has not assisted. And as a matter of fact I have banned this
person from buying from me. I stand
completely behind that decision and make no apology for it.Today, is the second time Ms S. has written on this
complaint. Today, she says:“ I have asked for a refund and received a curt reply
from him indicating he would cancel the order but I have not received or been
notified of the refund.” First of all, full disclosure, she fails to mention that yesterday
I made a few attempts to contact her because I can not refund direct to her
card due to the number of day that have passed since her order. I can not do this without her cooperation to
furnish the card number so we can credit the amount. Her reply via emai:“You may send my refund (cashier's check) to the same address
listed on the previously mentioned order.”Frankly, folks that do this stuff do myself, and everyone of
my customers a major dis-service. I am
taking the time to write about this and post into this public forum. The transaction history:Ms. S. came into my company and placed a $1.00 pre order on
a solar powered fan that we are introducing into the market at this time. She made her one dollar pre order on May 28,
2019. We did not offer anything more
than $1.00 non refundable pre order because of customers whom might abuse the
situation (case in point), though it would have helped us greatly in terms of
speeding things up if we had collected the full purchase price. We did not offer the pre order until we were
absolutely certain we would complete and go to market, after considerable time
and effort to get the fan correct. We
collected a total of 18 pre orders. Not
quite enough in retrospect. Using our
company’s ability we have started the production of these fans using our
funds. We have already shipped the first
unit to a customer. We have fans that we
are completing in assembly, 500 to be specific. At a later point in September of 2019 we opened up advanced
orders to help speed up production. I
personally wrote emails to each of our $1.00 pre order customers. Out of
a total of 18 $1.00 pre orders, 9 converted to a purchase. Regardless of that we moved forward with our
production and have a delay that is fairly common in getting something new into
the market for a small company. But we’re
holding up. In September Ms. S.
coverted her preorder to a purchase. Email
contents: “Order Number: The comments
for your order are: I am reaching out to you with our update about the 18-inch
fans we have had in preorder, and now production. We have completed the first
press and assembly, and are in now moving into finalization with producing the
first 100 units. Additionally, we will be making these available in the market
through our website, and with limited availability on eBay/Amazon.It has been
quite a process to get from the original concept and the first units we
produced back in 2017. Unfortunately, in the US we have limited availability of
moneys for this sort of thing, so it has taken a very long two years to get to
the point where we have these for sale. Through sales of existing kits
and offerings, we have managed to raise the funds to accomplish a lot, but we
have a lot yet to complete. We are ready to
convert pre orders to actual order, and additionally I am going to be opening
this up to the waiting list as well to facilitate a capital raise through sales
to start up this line of fans.We have
completed two varieties, an 18-inch fan, and also a 16-inch fan. We will also
be offering these with a choice of hanging fan attachment. I can send a
copy of the preliminary photos for your verification and will be issuing a
video that has been delayed regarding these fans, demonstrating the updated and
better version we are offering and as well information about order delivery.I realize it
has been a long hot summer, and these are coming available after most all of
the hottest part of the year has passed. Unfortunately, this is as fast as we
could accomplish having these available. We would like
to invite you to complete your preorder by converting it to a purchase as this
time. I will be furnishing an eta of shipment of your completed fan kit, and we
are in production but we are not quite finished with 100 units in the box, so
these are not being offered as an immediate shipment but will be shipping on a
reasonably close date.Please reply to
this email to let us know how you would like to proceed, and thanks for your
pre-order.”We fully disclosed in the email, though the customer has
deliberately attempted to mislead the
public with this complaint about the nature of the transaction, time involved
and eta.Further, this
customer emailed a couple of times about the order, we have replied every time
with an honest update. Additionally any
place we have this fan talks about extended delivery. We are currently shipping panels for these
kits and have completed and are in review of an Indiegogo campaign to formally
advance sale these fans at this time. This is an ongoing and known thing. The preview
link is:https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-western-harmonics-2020-solar-powered-fan/coming_soon/x/4634365There is not much I can here when someone attempts to abuse
the privilege of buying from us. As a
company founder and the license holder for the company, I think its pretty sad
that this is what we have going on at the end of March during a time when the
economy is halted with all kinds of considerations related to closures in
Californa, Arizona, and everywhere else lately due to the coronavirus. None the less though, since a fair number of
folks read the Revdex.com prior to purchasing from us I think it does all of us a
dis-service when the folks abuse it to cause trouble. We send out hundreds of kits per year. Consider that and also consider the fact we
have been producing and selling for 8 years now. Ms. S’s check she has requested is in the mail, though she
would love nothing more than for it to seem differently. We’re an honest business and have had nothing
but tough love since the beginning. We
don’t shy away from our responsibilities and I go out of my way to make sure
situations like this don’t hinder us in growing and being the best we can be,
regardless. – ***, Founder,
Owner and License holder for Western Harmonics.

Mr. W, submits a lengthy and excuse-filled response which amounts to exactly nothing. He seems more interested in defending his negligence than making the issue right. Furthermore, he appears to think that by attacking my veracity, he is the victim. I point simply to the pattern he has established here at the Revdex.com.

He has indicated that my requested check is in the mail. We shall see if this turns out to be, though I will not be holding my breath.

Western Harmonics Response • Mar 31, 2020

Tell us why here...Again, Ms. S. attempting to paint some sort of picture. The check she requested has already been sent. The only pattern here is Ms. S. attempting to paint a false damaging picture of my company.

I purchased a two solar fan set with solar panel from Western Harmonics via Amazon. I posted a negative review because the solar panel lacked the power to adequately drive the two fans. The owner of Western Harmonics wrote back and admitted that there was obviously a problem with the solar panel he sold me and promised he would replace it promptly. He repeated the same promise in several emails that followed when I inquired what was taking so long for the replacement. On June 30, he wrote, “Your panel will be shipping tomorrow and arriving on Weds, possibly Friday given the 4th is a holiday.” It was never sent. On July 30, he wrote, “Considering your rush to write that review that wasn’t nice, instead of contacting us...I filled the open orders I have first as priority and the rest secondary. We are just about at the point where we can ship it. It'll be there.” At the end of September, it still had not arrived. I inquired again and the owner of Western Harmonics did not reply. I tried to return the item which the owner himself admitted was flawed and he replied that it was too late to return it.

Western Harmonics

***,
My apology for the delayed response. I have been inundated with calls and emails from the hurricane disaster area. Apparently your contact email got lost in the list and on slot. I have all open orders going out in about a week, including yours. If you would like to cancel I can refund your order also. Just let me know what you want to do.
Thanks

Initial Business Response /(1000, 5, 2017/12/06) */
Stacey's item shipped days back and according to the tracking is still with the carrier.
And BTW ***, for the record any and all complaints we have listed on here are direct result of outside problems related to accepting payments from PayPal.
Copy of email sent to customers regarding the matter:

"I have been delayed in getting this order update because of the amount of items I have had to sort out to be able to effectively say with certainty how soon orders are going to ship. Over the past 30-40 days I have been dealing with a pretty serious issue internal business related to PayPal and the surge in orders due to the hurricane.

In short, Paypal used a complaint about delayed shipment and also specifically the surge in orders related to hurricanes Irma and Maria as an excuse to suspend the company seller account and as well with hold the funds received from the sales of kits for 6 months, and because I had a complaint about this, the account was summarily closed by PayPal. This left me with no money from sales and orders to fill. At that point, regardless of impact, PayPal left the company with nearly 100 open orders and $1.85. This is not the first time that I have had a problem with PayPal in 2017 in terms of money on hold, they did the same because of the summer surge in sales in June and made me wait 30-40 days to receive any funds from sales, ordered me to fill orders while with holding the sales money, while they "verified business information". I argued heavily with them about the unethical behavior they exhibited because of the fact that the customers who are receiving these kits are waiting and now in a disaster zone, aside from orders delayed due to payment issues with PayPal. This resulted in PayPal closing the account. Because of the additional delay this caused, quit a few orders were canceled which further exaseperated the ongoing problem with PayPal. My company is not a large company, funds from sales are what I use to pay for the parts to make my inventory, aside from the meger living this work provides to support myself. At the time of the hurricane, I had started a production run of 600 units of fans for my kits (which was late because a previous problem with PayPal), and both luckily and regardless of the problems, I payed for and now have a large number of solar fans in inventory. Although I had ordered most of the necessary inventory and parts specifically for the surge in orders, I did not have all the ordering completed at the time PayPal suspended the account. Also, at the time PayPal did this, I was assigning tracking numbers and some folks didn't receive their tracking number as I had stated would be assigned....it was literally a surprise when they did this....and it made several people angry at me personally and as well my company. I have had to go out and find the money to replace what PayPal withheld, twice this year now, and have sufficiently replaced the money to fill orders. I can say with certainty that your order will be shipped within the next week or so. And though I have offered shipping estimates previously, at nearly every turn after I spoke I had another problem with PayPal such that what I had said would end up being incorrect. It is what it is.

Please accept my sincere apology. All of the delays and problems with PayPal have been nearly completely out of the blue and beyond my control, this has been a very complicated problem. I do believe I have the problem resolved at this point in relation to PayPal and my company. To prevent this from ever happening again PayPal is no longer accepted at my company as a means of paying for any goods. Additionally, I have made internal changes so that company funds are maintained in a much more secure manner to guarantee the continuity of inventory and after significant back-end changes, I have re-established ordering through the website without PayPal involved. There are many customers I have personally spoken with and offered estimated delivery times based on my company running without a surprise external interference in the company's funds. Most every delivery estimate I made was missed because of what went on. Many people have also emailed, and again I have given estimated time lines based on my company running without external interference, which were also missed. I have sent out hundreds of these kits over the past few years. I know how to run my company, and as well I know how long it takes for my company to fill orders, I can honestly say, orders would have shipped a month ago, and in some cases months ago if it were not for this occurrance.

My apology,

***

8-10-17 purchased 2 solar panels,2 exhaust fans, thermostat and battery and 4 fan system for greenhouse cooling. bought solar/fan for chicken coop.
This purchase was actually three separate systems.
1)There was to be a 150 watt solar panel to run exhaust fan was with louvers and screens @ 1600 cfm each keeping greenhouse cooler. It was to be run with thermostat control and battery backup. 2) The second system also a 150 watt solar panel was to run 4 separate fans and battery backup.
3) A solar panel and 18 inch fan for my chicken coop.

*** said the order would take two weeks. Then he said he was having inventory problems and could not get the four fans right away. Then he said he was having to ship out systems to the hurricane victims. Then he said he was having capital trouble but managed to get a loan to become solvent.

Twice my orders were on their way said ***, providing tracking numbers and all. They never came. UPS tracking always said they were being processed. Then *** would say order one was on its way in three separate ups orders. I did finally receive a solar panel. No brackets for mounting. No paperwork or guarantee. These conversations were about every two weeks. E-mails and phone calls.

I was lead to believe that *** knows what he is doing and probably good at it. However he is overwhelmed and does not know how to handle a business. His voicemail is often full and he does not always answer his phone or e-mails. I am asking for a full refund as I can no longer believe what he says.

I will return the one solar panel with a postage paid return label and expect my money returned ASAP so I can shop elsewhere for these items.

I was very excited when I first spoke with ***. I had hunted for months to find solar systems which I was able to order from him. Unfortunately he is not able to deliver the systems he agreed to build for me.

Initial Business Response /(1000, 14, 2018/08/01) */
This customer was ordering a fully custom system, and did receive a full refund. We have all had problem customers before, the fall of 2017 was difficult at best as the company was impacted by a huge influx related to Hurricane Maria and as well this complaint and a couple of others with the Revdex.com. Though this was not an emergency kit related to the hurricane, the customer chose to advanced demands to ship when the product was not yet ready. At that point in time the company was not making this system, it was a custom ordered kit that took just little longer than planned, and she was fully refunded when she asked.

A full refund was issued. This item was purchased preorder/extended delivery. We sold out of these kits in early June and only now have the parts to send the preorders and current orders out to customers. My apology its taken a little longer than the customer's scheduled time frame...come back and see us a bit later this winter when we are done clearing all orders and delays are not a topic. Thanks for your attempt to buy...we just completely sold out in the summer 2017. We have on hand inventory and are shipping just didnt get to your kit quick enough.
