Charged twice for the same issue. Estimated to fixed was $416.76 and I paid $832.71[redacted]. Recently, I took my [redacted] to one of your [redacted] dealerships in Moose Jaw to have it looked at because my hatch door lock was broken. They diagnosed the issue and found out that the latch actuator and lock cylinder had to be replaced, it cost me $68.15 to get it diagnosed. So I waited a few months for the parts to come and made the appointment to fix the latch actuator and lock cylinder on Friday Feb 13 2015. The advisor, [redacted] assured us that everything is fixed, and they billed me $414.56. I got back home and found out that the lock wasn't doing what it was supposed to do. I could not lock the hatch door using the driver side button. And when I locked the hatch door with the key, all the doors got locked as well and when I opened the front door using the key while the hatch door is locked, the alarm would go off. [redacted]. So I called them on Tuesday and told them about the job they did on my SUV had not been fixed yet. So they told me to bring it back on Friday Feb 20, 2015. The advisor [redacted] said it should not cost us anything. [redacted] told us there was a wire issue and they had fixed it, no parts had been replaced just the labor, costed me $350. My roommate was the one who got the car back and when I looked at the bill, I thought they must have made a mistake charging me again, so on Monday morning I went to the Hyundai dealership and talked to the advisor, [redacted] and the Manager, [redacted]. I asked them about the cost and [redacted] sort of agreed with me and the Manager [redacted] was arguing that the wire and the initial diagnosis were two different issues, so I asked him why they did not fix it right in the first place and why did I have to bring it back for the second time to fix it and get charged again? He did not answer my questions and kept on repeating that it was two separate issues. [redacted] Desired SettlementI shouldn't have been charged two times for the same issue. I want my $350 back.[redacted]Reply to customer concern about over charge. Customer came in on Dec 17 with rear hatch does not lock, tech found 2 issues, the lock cylinder was siezed and lock actuator was burnt out. Customer returned Feb 13 and tech replaced both door lock actuator and lock cylinder. All ok at this time. Customer brought back in on Feb 20 rear hatch lock does not unlock or lock with button, works with key but locks everything, and unlock button sets off alarm. Tech tried to duplicate and lock worked ok 15 times. Tech check wiring in tail gate at actuator and all ok except inconsistant ground sigal. Tech dropped headliner to access tailgate connector and found 3 broken wires and 6 cracked wires. Advisor called customer for authorization for a 3.5 hour of diag and wire repair time and was told to go ahead and fix it. Customer took car and then came back after the weekend to ask about the bill. I told the customer that the first repair to get his siezed lock cylinder working was neccissary before we new there was a second problem. Thought it was ok because we called customer to get authorization to do repair to fix bad wiring which was causing another issue with the locks.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I took my car in Dec 17, 2014 to have them look at my hatch door lock and $68.15 charged for a diagnostic to fix and replace the cylinder and actuator est. cost $416.76. I went back there Feb. 13, 2015 and I paid $414.56 I had my roommate to pick up the car for me. Later on I found out the lock has not fix yet. I could not lock it from using the driver side sit button, and it will lock with key but when I unlock the car it sets off the alarm. It has not fix yet. [redacted] So after the long weekend I called them back and they told me they going to fix it. Knowing that they did not fix it for the first time why would they charge me again so when they ask about the authorization to fix the wires issue (no part replaced) they charged me another $350 labor to do the unfinished job. The total price I paid to fix my broken lock was $832.71. [redacted]. [redacted]Final Business Response I have reviewed this file in detail and will arrange to meet with the customer myself in person so that this concern can be addressed and resolved 100%. I will update the Revdex.com with the resolution to this case in short order.[redacted]Final Consumer Response [redacted] The matter is resolved.[redacted]
