[redacted] went to [redacted] home to look at his Chevy truck. On 5/5/15 [redacted] and [redacted] discussed what needed to be done to repair the vandalism to the vehicle. [redacted] requested 4 tires (instead of 2) and to change the color of the vehicle. [redacted] called [redacted] and this...

request was approved. [redacted] provided additional funds for those changes. Western Maine Auto Body requires a signed contract for vintage vehicle repairs so the customer understands we do not take on car show vehicles but will provide a good daily driver with high quality work. [redacted] signed this contract on 5/5/15 accepting the terms. (Copy on file)During the repair the technician repaired the badly bent bumper brackets and replaced several missing bumper brackets. He painted the inside of the engine compartment and door gaskets were purchased for installation. All of this work was not included in the cost of the repairs. [redacted] kept [redacted] involved in the repair process by sending emails including photos of the progress. The truck was completed on 7/3/15 (door gaskets had not arrived so we needed the customer to return to have them installed. He was fine with that as he wanted the truck for the 4th of July weekend.) He was so happy with the results he had his wife take a photo of him with all the guys that worked on the truck. This completed the terms of the contract. On 7/8/15 [redacted] said he had a couple of concerns but would discuss them with [redacted] when the gaskets were installed. His concerns were the grille was not painted on the back side and the truck bed was not removed to paint between the bed and cab. He found this when he came in 2nd in a car show over the weekend. [redacted] explained those would not be included in a vandalism repair. [redacted] sent several emails with his displeasure, stating he had taken it to a couple of other shops for their opinion on the job. On 8/26/15 [redacted] spoke with [redacted] at [redacted] in regards to [redacted]'s concerns. He stated these would not be paid by the insurance as they were not part of the vandalism. It would be up to the customer to pay for any additional work. [redacted] replied to [redacted] via email with this information and an estimate of $750.00 if he would like to schedule the work. After a few more emails, each one with a reply [redacted] would be more than happy to take a look at the vehicle and discuss his options, [redacted] posted some negative feedback on Western Maine Auto Body's Facebook page. [redacted] spoke with [redacted] around 9/7/15 on the phone. [redacted] agreed to bring the truck in and discuss options the following week. [redacted] then removed his negative comments from the Facebook page. On 9/14/15 [redacted] brought his truck to Western Maine Auto Body. [redacted] and [redacted] discussed his concerns and [redacted] reiterated the terms of the Vintage Car Terms and Agreements he signed. [redacted] agreed to paint behind the grille and to repair the paint on the inside of the door at no charge. It is [redacted]'s professional opinion a cleanser was used on the fresh paint making it peel after the vehicle left the shop. Also, upon further inspection the back of the grille was not painted by the previous body shop either. [redacted] is willing to remove the bed of the truck and paint between the bed and cab for $750.00. [redacted] thanked [redacted] and apologized for the negative comments he made. The truck is currently at Western Maine Auto Body to have the back of the grille and inside of door repaired. Photos can be seen on Western Maine Auto Body's Facebook page or I can email them to you. I also have a signed copy of the contract [redacted] signed and the terms and agreement of said contract. I have the entire email trail from start to finish if required. ?
