It appears the magazine he received was ESPN but that is a promotional product, meaning it was sent at no cost to himHe was probably pre-selected for this promotion based on prior reading interestsI had it canceled and that also removes his name and address from the systemBut I don’t believe he paid for it, maybe he thought he did because it started to arrive? However, if he did pay, I will promptly refundCan he provide any billing that shows the charge? Otherwise, please advise if any further action is necessaryRegards, **

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept the response from Western Reader's Service due to the fact that they have agreed to meet my requestsI certainly hope that the Revdex.coms will take into account the numerous, consistent complaints against this service providerIt appears that I'm not the first and wont be the last person that they attempt to take advantage of

Giving this company a star at all is quite misleading This man- Danny - stopped by our home times attempting to solicit our business Offering us a deal that we could not pass up - we thought anyway The saying is that you get what you pay for, however, in this case, we have taken a loss weeks straight this man committed him and his crew to removing a dead tree from our yard, only to "no-show" both times, not answer our calls, not call us and then when he did committed to actions he never completed Only for me to come home at 6:at night to find noises of a chain saw He not only began working without any contact with us, but also when my husband came home from work, and went out to clarify with him what his intentions were and why there was no communication and a second no show, etc, he was given all kinds of bogus excuses, apologies and once again commitment of his crew coming shortly with a trailer to get ALL of the branches he cut off our yard and then they'd be back the VERY next morning to complete the job He then requested to plug in his extension cord to get lightNaturally, we obliged only for his extension cord to knock out 3/of our Christmas lights (to which he assured us he would replace - ha!) Given this was a Wednesday night and we were heading out to church, we left him to do as he said he would Only to arrive home from church (before 10:00pm) with ALL the limbs still in our yard and him no where to be found The next morning, we discovered he had left his equipment outside the fence surrounding our pool No word nor sight of him until 11am, when my sitter noticed movement outside the gate To my dismay, he literally came to get his equipment to go to another job and was not going to say anything at all to us So, I went outside, and inquired about the trees all in the yard and his plan on removing them as well as the remainder of the tree He advised me he was just heading over to pick up a trailer to come back to finish the tree Now, knowing his past and also that my mama didn't raise a fool, I inquired as to why equipment would be needed to pick up a trailer He told me it wasn't safe to leave the equipment here as it could get stolen (but it was safe to leave it overnight up till 11am the following day) he also very rudely and unprofessionally advised me he didn't have to come back to finish the job So, I quite calmly and quickly advised him of his most unprofessional behavior and should he be on the receiving end as I am, he would be outside inquiring about the same thing I am He is constantly repeating that he backs and honors his "Word" and that he ALWAYS wants his customers satisfied He left to "go get his trailer", hasn't returned, ALL the limbs cut (from the side NOT hanging over my house - so now if it falls all the weight is over my daughter's bedroom and my work office), won't answer or return our calls (with the exception of the ONE call 1/hours after he left to go get the trailer and his "worker" answered the phone saying, "Danny is up in a tree cutting a limb, I'll have him call you back" - I never knew Trailers grew trees with limbs...)
DEFINITELY PAY THE EXTRA AND GET A REPUTABLE COMPANY TO REMOVE YOUR TREE WE'RE NOW GOING TO HAVE TO DO THAT AND PAY TO HAUL OFF WHAT HE LEFT MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As long as it has been effectively cancelled, I have no further complaints regarding my personal claimHowever, I do have concerns after reviewing other, very similar and recent complaints against this company from the Revdex.com WEBSITEIt seems this company has quite a track record and issues the same response when effected parties try to contact this company they are unreachableI have a hard time believing that so many others, just like myself, are receiving these subscriptions "by mistake"I can promise you that no one at this address has ever inquired about or ever received this magazine before...everNor do they receive any related subscriptionsI feel this company is obtaining the personal information of people in a manner that is less than upstanding and needs to be looked into further before any further damages to unsuspecting folks are incurredAgain, I feel that my personal complaint has been resolved as long as the company has removed my information from their database, as I personally contacted ESPN and cancelled the magazine myself...since I could not get in touch with the companyI just think theternal needs to be action taken by the Revdex.com TO ENSURE that this doesn't continue to go on
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/12/28) */
We assist various publishers by working to increase circulation levels and promote reader interest by introducing to individuals various promotional magazine subscriptions (like how one would receive a catalog in the mail - it's based on consumer interests)The vast majority enjoy the subscription they receive, with many choosing to renew on their ownThere is no billing associated with this nor any obligation, and the option to renew completely rests with the individualWe make every attempt to make sure the demographics and reading interests match, however sometimes errors occurOur goal is not to cause anger or frustration but rather to provide a service to the reader and increase circulationAgain, we apologize for the trouble this has causedThe individual's address and name has been purged from the databaseAs far as being "unreachable", our customer service line only has the option to leave a recorded message and all messages are returned promptlyWe hope this resolves the situation

Verification that no charges were incurred as a result of this, as well as assurance that no charges will be incurred as a result
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/01/04) */
Since this is a promotional title, no charges were incurred and there will not be any billing or obligationBy virtue of the cancellation, this removes the mailing address and name from the databaseWe hope this resolves the situation, and again we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused

I apologize for the delay...this ended up in another email folder Anyway, I have forwarded this complaint to the originating sales office, so the large charge can be addressed Thank you

In regard to the unrequested magazines, it was apparently sent in error to the customer. On occasion, a magazine company will provide a magazine subscription to those that have either inquired about, received, or have other demographics that relate to a
particular magazine, with the goal of increasing reader interest and circulation; however, despite our best efforts, some information (including the individual's name and address) may be outdated or incorrect. We have canceled the magazines ESPN along with Muscle & Fitness and in doing so removes their name and address (which is all we have) from the database of any future promotions. Please keep in mind an issue or two may arrive after today's date, should it be in the mailing system already, but rest assured the magazine has been canceledIn addition, because this is a promotional product, there is and will never be, any billing We are confident this resolves the situation and apologize for the trouble this has caused

This response resolves my individual caseHowever, I still don't understand how this business practice passes *** ethical musterIf they are sending magazines to people based on personal and demographic information then there is apparently no errorWhy do they claim it was a mistake? This company knows full well that many people will pay for magazines sent to them out of fearThe Revdex.com must be a really feckless entity if it cannot do anything about an OBVIOUSLY crooked organization like Western Readers Service

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 9, 2015/11/25) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

In regard to the US Weekly magazine...this was a free promotional subscription, sent to individuals who have either expressed an interest in the genre (in this case, people and celebrities) or have had a prior subscription of a similar magazine. This is to promote circulation and, of course,
encourage paid subscriptions once the promotional period is over. However, there is never any "automatic billing or renewal"...the customer must renew on their own if interested. Despite our best efforts, some information (including the individual's name and address) may be outdated or incorrect. We have canceled the magazine and in doing so removes their name and address (which is all we have) from the database of any future promotions. Please keep in mind an issue or two may arrive after today's date, should it be in the mailing system already, but rest assured the magazine has been canceled. Again, I apologize for the trouble this has caused as this was not our intent
