negative one star! The condition of this facility is unsafe and unhealthyFor years there has and still is old peeling paint, broken missing wood, rusty nailsThe entry to pool area is less than healthy with black mold on building and in Jacuzzi add on tunnel can't meet building codes!Extensive unsafe decking chunks missing with lounges stating do not move to keep members from getting hurt on rough concreteThey spent thousands on pool refinishing yet there are two huge chunks of poorly patched concrete when you enter the stairs The rail is still loose and wobbly with missing tiles though there are foam braces that are inadequate.Paint from the deck has dripped on tiles and was never cleaned The sauna still does not heat and no matter how many new shower curtains they hang in the woman's showers, and how many new shiny pink hokes for towels they place, there is still black mold on the shower floors

Pool is not being kept at temperture as promisedRepeated face to face and letters from majority of pool classes remain to be ignored
The owner has turned off the pool heaterHer stated promise to clients that she would keep pool temp at degrees, so clients with disabilities could seek some relief from pain or other problemsThe pool is the ONLY exercise tolerated by many of usRepeated requests for maintaining a comfortable pool go unanswered and will not speak to usNow she has turned Off the heater, telling no one, even though complaints mountedStates will not re heat till winterShe advertises a heated pool, there are few if any other available facilities for seniorsMany have felt soooo much better and more active than they have been in yearsOur goal is to remain as active as possible and decrease mental and social issues that plague elder peopleWe need someone's assistancecan you help? Thank you

To Whom It may Concern:
I concur with the writer of the complaint against Mid Valley Athletic ClubI, too, migrated from Fit CenterFor awhile things were fine but then we saw problems with the upkeep of the facilityThe pool was getting colder and we brought in a thermometer to monitor the waterNumerous complaints were made to the owner and to the instructorsI signed a document that was prepared by a classmate requesting that the water be heated to the temperature suggested by the Arthritis FoundationThere were days when I had to leave class because the water was so coldOur requests were ignored
In addition, there was an issue with the railing that people used to get into the poolIt was fine for several years and then brokeThe repairs that were made caused the railing to be unstableI complained to the owner, ***, and she stated that this was caused by obese people pulling on it and that we were to use the muscles in our legs to get in and out of the poolFor me, this is impossible as I have had some minor strokes and use a four wheel walkerI have to use my upper body to do most thingsThere is a pool chair but it is so low to the ground that I can not get in and out of it alone(The one at Fit Center was fine for this.) I could get in and out of the pool using the rail if it was stableI considered this railing a danger to my health for fear of falling
Other issues included the removal of the cover on the railing going into the hot tub, which made it too hot to touchThe showers were impossible because of getting my walker in thereAnd there was so much mold in the buildings that I had to stop going there
I left at the end of June when my contract expiredI still keep getting bills for services that I have never usedMy last bill was dated November One would think that they could figure out that I have left
This is a Silver Sneakers facility which means that it is to be friendly to people who are olderThis is not the caseThe doors going into the locker room are very heavy and there are no automatic openersWe were told that an elevator was going to be put in but that never happened so many people can not get to the rooms on the second floor
I do not recommend this facility to anyone

Unable to use facilities for which I paid a monthly membership fee
Mid Valley Fitness Club deducted $from my bank monthly in exchange for membershipOn a June Sunday, approx2pm, I entered the pool area and was told by a stranger that I could not use the pool as they had rented it for a private partyI told them I was a paid member and would only be a few minutesThey continued to harass me to include yelling and foul language by many of the adults present and forced the desk attendant to call the manager, *** *** The Manager rented the pool area without any prior announcement or warning, there was no signage placed and she was not on the grounds to help with confusion or quarellingMyself and 3-other members were rudely told to get outThis was a abuse personally and contractually
