Review: On 2/21/14 I took my 2008 [redacted] to Apple [redacted] since I was having trouble with changing gears. Upon investigation of the issues, I was told that I had low transmission oil and replenishing it would fix the problem and cost approximately $1000. There were no error codes on the car regarding low oil, but it was the best "guess" and "strongly recommended" as told to me by the service advisor [redacted]. I told them to go ahead with the repair if thats what was recommended. I received the car back a few days later, but upon inspection I found that the problem was still recurring. Infact, the [redacted] service team had not even tested the car before returning it to me. When I took the car back, they told me that the transmission had failed and it needed to be replaced. I was told that it wasn't the low fluid afterall. When I asked for a refund, the service manager could only offer money off a new car. They told me to argue with my insurance about replacing the transmission which they estimated to cost $7000.

I had my car re-inspected by a transmission shop and it was discovered that a particular component of the transmission costing less than $500 was damaged and the entire transmission had not failed.Desired Settlement: Please refund all labor charges on the service which total to $460.
