Do not buy at all ripoff

My husband and I attended a timeshare presentation at the Westgate hotel casino in Las vegas the week of Thanksgiving. We were told 90 minute presentation and we would receive free show tickets. After 3 hours of him explaining the timeshare and constant pressure and him saying that in Nevada they don't check credit to purchase a timeshare I finally agreed to purchase a timeshare at 130 a month according to him this was a great deal and our down payment of 1000 1ould be spread out. Carlos brought some forms to me he would quickly have me sign I noticed a form that asked for my social security I asked Carlos why do they need my social if according to (carlos) him in Nevada they don't check credit for timeshares. He said it was for the notary public that he would need it to make sure we were serious about the timeshare purchase. Well another half hour later Carlos dissapears and another representative comes and says to me " I'm sorry at the moment we cannot approve the timeshare "? I was very confused the representative gave me no ther explanation. We left the hotel forward to this week I received an alert on my credit report that in fact Westgate hotel had made a hard inquiry on my credit report thus making my score drop significantly. I would have never ever agreed to give Carlos my info if he had been honest with me. My complaint is that this company is withholding the truth to people in regards to purchasing timeshares (lying about not checking your credit) please stop this from happening to others.
