Review: I conducted an Emissions Inspection for the state of [redacted]. One of the mechanics indicated that in order for my car to pass Emissions Inspection in the state of [redacted], I needed to perform headlight restoration which ended up costing around $90.00. I have researched to see if this repair is required or mandated for the Emissions Inspection. What caught me to think I am a victim of unnecessary additional charges is that the mechanic did not put my car back in the Emissions Inspection to check on the lights as this kind of inspection is not subjective like the annual [redacted] Safety Inspection. I feel cheated, victimized and wronged by the mechanic after concluding that his reasoning does not have any merits by making me spend on the Headlight Restoration repairs that were not needed for the [redacted] Emissions Inspection. I asked the mechanic if this was necessary and if this will affect my car passing inspection, and he said that "Yes" that without the headlight restoration, my car will not pass Emissions Inspection. I have researched on the internet to see if the headlight restoration or headlight is mandatory and I can not find any answer indication that this repairs were justified or tied to passing the Emissions Inspection. I want to stop this type of business practices to other consumers and I hope that the Revdex.com look into this matter seriously and ask the mentioned business to provide proof beyond reasonable doubt that this repairs were mandated or that the lighting density are part of the [redacted] Emissions Inspection.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the additional expenses that I incurred for the Headlight Restoration repairs. If the mechanic can prove beyond reasonable doubt that the repairs taken are mandated by the State of [redacted] with documentations in order to pass Emissions Inspection, I will accept the charges. However, if this were unnecessary charges, I would like to be refunded for the extra expenses I did not needed to incur in the first place. I also would for this business to be given a stern warning for their business practices.
