Review: Westlake Home Inspections presents itself as a professional organization performing home inspections frequently used when purchasing a property.Westlake Home Inspections performed a home inspection for us. We were present during the inspection, and paid for the inspection, in full at the time of service.The report we received had several gross errors in it - incorrect description of the construction of the property, an entire room left out of the report, and items included in the report that do not exist in the house.We had to ask multiple times for a corrected report. Since it was finally produced, we have been unable to access it because we were sent an incorrect password. We have requested the correct password multiple times and have been ignored by Westlake Home Inspections.All we want is for Westlake Home Inspections to professionally perform the function we paid for, and give us the password to access the corrected report.Desired Settlement: We want to be able to access the corrected report Westlake Home Inspections has apparently produced and posted for us on their website. To do so we need the correct password for the report. All we are asking for is that password.

The client & the real estate agent were both given the password. The real estate agent was able to access the report with no problem the first time. The client was given the password multiple times & was finally able to open the report. The report was corrected to include the bedroom.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response from the business is partially correct. We were given a password which would not open the file. We were able to open the file after the business removed the password protection from the file. The business did correct some of the errors in the file. The business claims on their website that they are licensed by the State of Virginia, but the license number that is listed is not associated with the business in any public record. The business claims relationships with several trade organizations, at least one of which denies a relationship with the business. As far as I am concerned, I have no further need of the services of the business. I do not request any recompense for the services I have been provided. I cannot recommend this business to others.
