Our family used Crown point for my father This was the first facility of its type in Lubbock that we have used to incorporate into his care He is a colorectal cancer survivor among his many other ailmentsMy father was there for almost two months We had positive and negative experiences with this facilityPositive in regard to his occupation and physical therapy Negative in the aspect that we almost removed his from care there AMA for fear for his well being and safetyI work in healthcare and understand the work ethic that any individual should have when working directly with patients Unfortunately many individuals at this facility do not share this work ethic not understand its importance when caring for another individuals family memberI believe it would have jeopardized my father's health to have remained at this facility any longer than he already hadNeglect was to the point that orders were not being followed through and when asking for assistance in his care the staff would reply with statements that "He or she does that not me" or part of his care regime was not followed through as physician ordered Left to shower alone knowing he is a fall risk Not changing dressings properly or as physician ordered as to the point that the original wound had become significantly worse and family members had to do it themselves because of the lack of attention by the staff I would not recommend this facility for care of the elderly for anything except occupation and physical therapy and for simple care that does not involve in depth medical assistance
