I had my car towed there when it broke down in early MarchDave had replaced my brakes before so I thought he was pretty trustworthyIt was pretty late in the day so I was told to fill out the form and that I'd be contacted the next dayWhen I spoke to Dave over the phone the next day, he said that he said I might need a new radiatorI asked him to verify and let me knowHe then called back about an hour later and said it was definitely the radiatorWhen I asked him for an estimate, he told me it would be about 4-unless the radiator fluid was leaking back into the transmissionI don't know much about cars and it's pretty obvious but everyone I've spoken to after the fact has said that it's not even possibleAnyway, he said that if the radiator fluid was leaking back into the transmission, it would run me about $When I heard that, I told him that if it took more work than replacing the radiator, he may as well not bother because I didn't have $to spend on car repairs at the timeHe also told me that it wouldn't be done in time for my doctor's appointment that day, so I ended up taking a taxiAfter my appointment, I got a call from Dave saying that my car was almost ready so I took the bus to the shopWhen I got there, I waited minutes in the front before he said that my car wouldn't be ready because the radiator that he got was bent and he had to order a different oneI was then told to come back the next dayWhen I came back around 11am the next day, the manager told me that he wasn't there so I left to pick up my prescriptionWhen I got back an hour later, he was in the shop in the back of the stationHe said that he was almost done and I asked him for a printed copy of the quote so I could go ahead and payThat's when he started counting on his fingers and acting nervousHe started making comments about going out on a date with meMind you, he had attempted to flirt with me before but I brushed it off as no big dealI ignored his "joking" about a date and waited for a printed quoteHe then said he had to go to the bathroom and asked me to wait in the front part of the stationI was there for about minutes until I asked the manager where Dave went and he said that Dave was back in the shopAt this point, Dave had finally figured out what he wanted to charge me and it was exactly $I told him to take the radiator out because I had explicitly said that he should not bother if it required that much workAt this point, we went back up to the manager behind the register, where Dave lied and said that I had authorized all the repairsOf course the manager believed him, because managers have to stand behind their employees or whateverSo without my signature on the quote, they told me that I couldn't take the carDave then asked me if my name was on the titleHe also said "Don't leave yetI need you to sign something" but never specified what that "something" was and I was too upset to willingly sign anything after being disrespected by both Dave and Jesse, the managerI ended up leaving and Jesse then called and said that I'd have to pay for the tow and storage feesHe also accused me of "playing my little game", whatever than meantSo in the end, they kept my car and I would not recommend this shop to my worst enemy
