Dear ***,
We are currently working to resolve your problem We had one of our men go to your roof this past Monday, July 27th to ascertain what might be the problem We are asking that you allow us to take the time necessary to resolve the problem completely, if there
is indeed something wrong with the installation This week, with the extreme temperatures, is difficult to get on any roof safely and without potentially causing damage to the shingles We believe we should have the problem resolved completely by the end of next week, August 7th Please expect to hear from Joe tomorrow, July 30, to discuss what he has gleaned from Monday's visitThank you for your patience,

Dear [redacted],We are currently working to resolve your problem.  We had one of our men go to your roof this past Monday, July 27th to ascertain what might be the problem.  We are asking that you allow us to take the time necessary to resolve the problem completely, if there is indeed...

something wrong with the installation.  This week, with the extreme temperatures, is difficult to get on any roof safely and without potentially causing damage to the shingles.   We believe we should have the problem resolved completely by the end of next week, August 7th.  Please expect to hear from Joe tomorrow, July 30, 2015 to discuss what he has gleaned from Monday's visit.Thank you for your patience,Westside Developers

Mr. [redacted] fails to provide an actual estimate for damages incurred due to a roof leak. He contends that all work performed by [redacted] was necessary to repair the roof when in fact most of the work he describes is unrelated to the area of the leak. Again, we agree to pay $1,200, which includes the cost of the ceiling repair and the cost of the flashing repair as suggested by other experienced experts in the field.

Westside Developers has agreed to pay Mr. [redacted] an amount that represents the cost to repair the area of the roof that was leaking. Mr. [redacted] has left out of his complaint the fact that he had additional work done on his home that has nothing to do with the roofing we did. For...

example, he had new gutters installed. Based on the invoice paid by Mr. [redacted], $900 is a reasonable price for the flashing repair where the leak occurred. In addition to the flashing repair we agree to pay the invoice for painting the ceiling at $300. We agree to pay Mr. [redacted] $1200 in total in hopes he will find satisfaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. My
invoice total was for just for $3960 that included the roof repair and
redoing the ceiling in my kitchen not including painting my kitchen wall
that was repaired with the ceiling repair.  Westside is contending that
they should not be liable for replacing the gutters and replacing all
the wood underlayment on the back of the garage, though they accept that
they would have to replace the wood that was ruined by the flashing not
being installed properly.  That being said the amount that paid that
Westside says they are not responsible for 15 - 4x8 OSB sheets at $50
each or $750 and approximately $250 for the gutters I would contend that
they would be responsible for over $3000 since some of the wood
underlayment would fall into their costs.  I would also stipulate that
the entire back of my garage would need to be reshingled since it was a
few years since it was originally replaced by Westside and the only way
to match the existing would be to replace the whole side.  I
am not asking for the full $3000 of the related repair but only the
previous agreed upon amount of $2000.  I would also like to reiterate
that not only did Westside once agree upon to pay me the $2000 amount
but also stated at one time to pay me $1800 but then he decide with his
fellow contractors, who never spent a day on my roof, that the job would
be far less.  If Westside Developers had installed flashing in
accordance to proper installation procedures when they originally roofed
my house back in 2011 then I would not have had to hire a second
contractor to fix this repair on my own dime when they did not return my
calls back in March.  My
last comment is that this leak has been an ongoing issue for multiple
years as they have been only caulking and taring the gap area which we
all know that caulk is only a temporary fix and not a long term fix. Attached
is my quote from the roof as well as a write-up delineating the issues
that they found when they did the work as well as the work they did to
fix the leak.  also included is the ceiling repair for my kitchen.  I
have not finished painting the kitchen that I plan on doing prior to
X-mas on my own.  I figure $100 would more than cover for primer paint
and materials.Thanks, [redacted]
