I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am not sure what else to say at this point. I have submitted pictures to demonstrate the poor quality of work provided by Wet Paint, LLC as well as documentation of attempts made to receive a bill that took weeks to be sent to us. The business threatened to put a lien on our home while at the same time delaying the billing process despite our requests. Once billed, the business included change orders for additional fees we did not agree to. Despite this we sent payment in full to avoid any further conflict. I am requesting that Wet Paint LLC lose their Revdex.com rating and I request future potential consumers be warned about the problems we have had with this business. Consumers look to the Revdex.com when making decisions about choosing service providers/ contractors- the Revdex.com "approval" on Wet Paint's website was a deciding factor in hiring them for the job- I do not think Revdex.com should endorse this business in anyway.

As evident by our A+ Revdex.com Rating and having never received a complaint in over 11 years in business, We, at Wet Paint, LLC, value and adhere to the standards set forth by the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) and the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) on a daily basis.  We...

appreciate all customer feedback, however, we disagree with the client in this instance.I met with the client's husband for the initial visit and consultation. He was explicitly informed that Sherwin-Williams is our first choice in paint and we would be using Sherwin-Williams paint for their project. He made no mention of previous color matching issues. He mentioned that they were leaning towards [redacted] colors and I responded along the lines of "That should be fine. Sherwin-Williams has most competitor's colors already in their computer. If not, I will be happy to go to [redacted]'s to get a color swatch."  Furthermore, Sherwin-Williams is featured in our marketing materials and we have their Color Visualizer App embedded into our website, to make it easier for our clients to select colors.  We provided no reason to think that we would be using any other paint than Sherwin-Williams.The client made no mention of the color not being an exact match at any time during the project process. It is understandable that the client doesn't feel that the true color was represented. When applied to a full room, colors can look different than the small sample square of the color swatch. This can be attributed to lighting,(natural vs. fluorescent vs. LED) ceiling & flooring color, and furnishings. This is especially true of yellows and oranges. The only reference to the color being unacceptable was on the morning of Sept 11th (second day on-site) when the client's husband stated that his wife "Hates the color. Absolutely hates it" Below is the Scope of Work from the Estimate:Fill all nail holes in the living room, dining room and kitchen.Spot prime repaired areas.Apply TWO coats of paint to the living room, dining room and kitchen walls.Apply TWO coats of paint to the dining room crown molding.Repair crack in kitchen with mesh tape and up to 3 coats of drywall compound.Project Process Time Line:Sept 9th: Received colors from client.Sept 10th: I met with the client's husband. He showed me a vacant telephone outlet he wanted patched, as well as, six new areas where the new window trim did not cover the old trim profile and now needed repair. We patched all nail holes, repaired the areas around the window trim, patched the telephone jack outlet box, repaired the kitchen crack, applied primer and two coats of paint to the dining room crown molding and applied two coats of paint to the living room, dining room & kitchen walls. Called the client's husband to inform him that the crack repair is not dry and we will be back tomorrow morning to finish the project. ( some patched areas were not dry and ready for paint) He called back in the evening to state that the two coats of paint didn't fully cover all areas.Sept 11th: We arrived, met with client's husband, and reviewed the wall and crown molding surfaces. We decided that all surfaces should receive a THIRD coat of paint. We proceeded to finish priming and painting the unfinished repaired sections, and applied a third coat of paint to all wall and crown molding surfaces previously coated. This additional work, and the coat of primer applied to the crown molding, was completed at NO CHARGE to the customer. All additional labor, paint, and material costs were absorbed by Wet Paint, LLC. Sept 17th: Received a call from the client's husband expressing concern about some nail hole repairs and wall surfaces still not adequately covered. I instructed him that I would be over the following morning.Sept 18th: Arrived to notice many areas of tape on the wall to designate the client's areas of concern. I inspected every area marked by tape and noticed most of the holes were overfilled with patching compound and not sanded. Our process of filling nail holes involves using our finger to apply the compound to smooth the edges flush.  It does not require any sanding. Despite this initial finding, I still felt compelled to test each area. The test I used involves gently sanding the three layers of paint we applied to reveal the underlining surface. It it reveals patching compound/primer it signifies that it is our repair. If the previous coating is revealed it signifies the repair was completed by some other party. In all of the overfilled areas, the previous wall color was revealed. It is absolute, these imperfections we not the result of our work.  I touched up all damage caused by the testing process. The client was again not charged for the additional time. The client's husband made mention of of unpainted areas behind a vent cover and around an outlet. The client removed all other vent covers, switch plates and outlet covers. The client had unplugged all other electrical cords to the other outlets. The outlet in question is used for the entertainment devices. It is our policy to not remove any cords to electronics or computers. The area unpainted was inaccessible so left unpainted.  Behind the vent cover and around the outlet received two coats of paint on Sept 18.I called the client's husband, while on-site, on Sept 18th, to find out which wall sections needed attention. He mentioned behind the refrigerator was not sufficiently covered. At this time I mentioned that we will not be applying any more coats of paint without issuing a Change Order for an increase in the price.  (as the client mentioned in her complaint, we already applied more than two coats.) He proceeded to state, "that is ridiculous." and asked if the quality of our work was acceptable in my home. I stated in the affirmative, "Yes. It is." At which point he shouted that I was a "liar" and threatened non-payment for our services. I responded that it is within our rights, and the rights of every contractor to apply a Lien Claim to his property for non-payment. He reiterated he was not going to pay full price for our services. At which point, I swiftly ended the conversation.A few minutes later, the client's husband sent me a text reading, "If this is all something that you would accept in your home. That's fine. I will repair your work."I truly believe the work completed by Wet Paint, LLC, on this project, is of the highest quality and we went above and beyond the scope of work agreed upon with the client. We were swift to respond and diligent in addressing the client's concerns. All Revdex.com and PDCA Standards were met or exceeded. We will not be making a 4th visit to the client. Payment is expected as previously outlined and agreed upon.Respectfully,[redacted]Wet Paint, LLC

Despite the client's new accusations, we stand by our initial response as being accurate and factual. [redacted]Wet Paint, LLC

I have read the response from [redacted]/ Wet Paint, LLC and the following is my response:
* With regard to the color matching issue, while the documentation [redacted]/ Wet Paint provided to us indicates he uses [redacted] and [redacted] paints, he told us he would use [redacted]'s paint ([redacted]) since that was what we were looking at. In light of the issues we had in the past with color matching we would have gone wherever he told us to go for selection of paint colors. He is not being honest with regard to the conversation he had with my husband on this issue. [redacted] in Menasha, WI is closer to our home than the [redacted]'s in Appleton and would have been just as easy to visit (if not easier) to select paint colors and we would have gladly done so if he told us that was what we needed to do. Instead, he told us that he would use [redacted]/ [redacted]'s paint.
* For clarification, [redacted] spoke with me (not my husband) on 09/17/14. My husband and I fol[redacted]d up with an email (see attachment) outlining our concerns so he would have that for his visit the following day.
* Our house was built in 1946. There are previous nail hole fillings and other imperfections on the walls that we acknowledge, accept and do not blame or hold [redacted]/ Wet Paint, LLC responsible for. What we do hold [redacted]/ Wet Paint, LLC responsible for are the holes in the walls that existed when we removed pictures, shelves, a letter holder (behind the back door), hooks for keys/ coats and a baby gate-- these were all items in/ on the walls until the night before [redacted]/ Wet Paint came to fill holes and paint- he filled these holes and did a substandard job and should be responsible for fixing them. I have attached several pictures of the holes that [redacted]/ Wet Paint "fixed."
* Per the paperwork [redacted]/ Wet Paint provided us (see attached) he was to remove all "wall and ceiling fixtures" which he did not do. My husband did remove the majority of the wall plates to be nice, the same way we took all the pictures off the walls and removed all the nails and had the house as clean/ barrier free so [redacted]/ Wet Paint could work without issue. My husband did overlook a vent cover and an outlet cover but, per the paperwork provided by [redacted]/ Wet Paint, this should not have been an issue as they would have removed them. Nowhere in the paperwork [redacted] provided us does it indicate he would not remove cords for electronic devices or computers. The media cabinet that held the television plugged into the outlet that [redacted]/ Wet Paint did not remove the cover for was moved by [redacted]/ Wet Paint in order to paint the wall. The bottom of the outlet cover would have been accessible to them as they moved the media cabinet. When he returned on the 18th to "remedy" this, we did unplug the television and remove the wall plate and he refused to paint anything other than the stripe underneath where the wall plate was (see attached picture).
* The paperwork from [redacted]/ Wet Paint (see attached) states: "Ceilings and walls are painted to proper coverage and finish color." It is not our fault, as the customers, the [redacted]/ Wet Paint underestimated the number of coats it would require to provide this proper coverage and finish.
[redacted]/ Wet Paint indicates he has provided us with the highest quality" and has "gone above and beyond" and I believe the attached photos prove this to be false. In fact, since writing our initial complaint we have found unpainted areas by the trim in the kitchen (see attached photo) and have noted paint on our hardwood floor, fireplace mantle and kitchen table leg. The service provided to us was substandard and unprofessional.
* At this point, we simply want to pay [redacted]/ Wet Paint, LLC and be done with this matter. We have attempted to get [redacted]/ Wet Paint, LLC to send us a bill on numerous occasions and, to date; he has not yet sent a bill. On 09/18/14 I spoke with [redacted] (after his conversation with my husband) and invited him to come to the home to discuss, in person, the concerns we still had. During that conversation, I made it clear to [redacted] we would pay him and asked him when we could expect a bill. He told me he would send out a bill that night or the following Monday. I inquired about the next day (Friday) and he told me he would not be working because he had the day off to spend celebrating his and his child’s birthdays. I fol[redacted]d up with an email to [redacted] that same night (see attached) and again expressed our intent to pay once billed. Since that time, we have emailed [redacted] two additional times (October 1, 2014 and October 3, 2014- see attachments) yet have not received a response or a bill.
*Because of the threat to put a lien on our home and the dishonesty demonstrated by [redacted]/ Wet Paint, LLC during this process, we are uncomfortable paying based solely on the estimate we have and request a bill be sent to us so that we can send him payment in full. Please note it will be our intent to send him a cashier’s check or money order via certified mail in order to ensure we have proof of his receipt of payment; however, we cannot do this until he sends us a bill.
*Finally, [redacted] left a caulking gun and caulk at our home. I informed him of this in the email I sent him on 09/18/14 and it is our intent to return this property to him. I do not want to be accused of stealing/ withholding his property and will return this to him in whatever manner he finds acceptable.
We are requesting assistance from the Revdex.com in facilitating a closure in this matter. PLEASE NOTE I REFERENCE ATTACHED DOCUMENTATION AND PICTURES; HOWEVER, I AM CONCERNED THAT THE ATTACHMENTS HAVE NOT GONE THROUGH PROPERLY. AS SUCH, I WILL FORWARD A SEPARATE EMAIL TO Revdex.com AND WILL REFERENCE MY COMPLAINT ID NUMBER ([redacted]) TO ENSURE YOU RECEIVE/ ASSOCIATE THE PICTURES WITH THIS RESPONSE.

Review: We hired Wet Paint, LLC out of Neenah, WI to paint our kitchen, living room/ dining room and family room area. [redacted] from Wet Paint came out and measured, looked at the color of the walls (at the time biege and dark brown) and the condition of the walls and was informed we were looking for nail holes to be filled, a crack to be fixed and all the walls to be painted a light color (off white or pale yellow). He quoted us $755 for all the requested advices/ repairs. He told us we could pick our paint color(s) and let him know the day before he was to start in September- we inquired about where he would get his paint as we had trouble in the past with painters "paint matching" in the past and wanted to make sure we picked a color within the brand of paint he would be using- he told us [redacted]s. We picked out two pale yellows from the [redacted] line and provided him the colors the day before per his instructions. He came out and painted on September 10, 2014 and indicated he would need to return the next day to finish. We notes the colors seemed slightly different than what we picked and noted that he had, in fact, paint matched our colors using the [redacted] line. We chose not to say anything and to accept the colors al just have him come back and finish the next day. He returned on the 11th while we were at work. When we got home we noted he had put second additional coats on the areas that were not finished the day prior but did not truly inspect the work until that Friday night when we started to put the house back together. It was then that we noticed show through behind the fridge and on the ceiling leading down to our basement, that he didn't take off a vent or outlet cover and didn't paint underneath the outlet cover (there was a dark brown stripe) underneath the cover. We also noted several of the nail holes he filled were either not filled completely or filled but not sanded so the walls had raised, clumpy areas. I called [redacted] the following week to endorses my concerns and he indicated he would come out to take a look and fix. We fOl[redacted]d up with an email detailing our concerns. He came out on September 18 while we were at work. My husband called him to follow up and it was during that phone call that [redacted] indicated that while he painted under the outlet cover and above the stairs, he would not paint behind the fridge as he had already done more than two coats and wouldn't do any additional coats. He also stated the filled nail holes were done before he got there and that he would not fix them as he did not fill them. He got into an argument with my husband and threatened to put a lien on our house if we didn't pay even though he told us we would not have to pay until we were 100% satisfied and he had not even billed us yet. I called [redacted] in an attempt to talk to him. During our conversation he acknowledged filling some of the nail holes just not the ones we had expressed concern about. I longed out to him one area in particular where I knew we had removed a letter holder and he had patched the holes but not smoothed after and he denied this. I expressed concern about his threat to put a lien on our house when he had not even billed us and he told me he sends a notice of intent to file lien to every customer with the bill. I asked him when he would be sending the bill and made it clear we would pay him even though we were not satisfied with the work but that we would file a complant with the Revdex.com and he said he would mail it out that night or the following Monday. I did ask him to consider coming back to the house while I was home to go through the area of concern together and he said he would think about it and call me the following week. I did follow up with an email to him that night. Today has been 8 days since I talked to [redacted]. He has not responded to my email, has not returned my call and has not sent me a bill. I am incredibly concerned that he may have put a lien on my home when he has not even billed me yet. In addition, I have not put my house back together as there are areas that need to be fixed yet. I have a video and pictures of the walls where he did not properly fix the nail holes.Desired Settlement: I want [redacted] to come out and fix the areas that were not repaired correctly. I would also like him to bill me and then provide me a reciept for payment so that I do not have to worry about my credit.

My wife and I had our kitchen cabinets and main floor walls painted after purchasing our first home in Omro, WI. Brian at Wet Paint was great. The work was performed while my wife and I were away to work, but when we returned each day the house was clean. Brian was very helpful in giving advice on color choices and different paint brands. When I went into the Sherwin Williams store in Oshkosh to get paint samples, I asked if they ever dealt with Wet Paint. The sales person said he has had a lot of experience with Brian and assured us we would be happy with the results. The kitchen and walls look outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone looking for interior paint work.
