Grieco Toyota apologizes for any misunderstanding of the credit inquiry that we made which was authorized by the customer on a signed credit application The customer came in with a credit score from a third party which I believe in her case was [redacted] *** We explained to her that the scores that these companies provide are not scored in the same process as the automotive industry and the banks that provide loans for automobiles In order to determine rates and terms that were available to her on the vehicle she was interested in, we would need to make an inquiry that is scored to determine what credit terms ie length of loan, rate, etc that the customer may qualify for If she had decided to buy the vehicle and apply for credit, then and only then, would her credit application be submitted to the bank We never run the credit inquiry without a signed credit application from the customer This customer's information was not submitted to the bank for a loan in any amount at Grieco because she decided not to pursue it

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***
Immediately and prior to entering the establishment I made it clear that I did not want any credit checks being performed, as I would not be interested in purchasing any vehicle until AugustThe rep I spoke with ASSURED me many times that the check was for a soft inquiry and would not affect my credit in any way, nor was it a hard inquiryI did not sign any paperwork until AFTER the check was done, without my consentI was muscled and bullied into signing their document under the promise that the only reason my signature was needed was to help remove any damage that may have been done by their actionsI expressed my uncomfortability multiple times in signing anything, as I had already been lied toThere was no misunderstandingWhat occurred, was unprofessional employees taking advantage of my being new to the car buying process and lying every step of the wayI was bullied, talked down to, and argued with the entire time I was in that buildingWhen showing my *** *** app, it was to show proof that a hard inquiry had been made, which they swore was notWhen shown, I was told the app was "not real" and "lying" about the hard inquiryI specifically expressed that I did not want any hard inquires, but the employees proceeded to do so, stating it was a soft inquiryThe response provided does not resolve the issue in any way, nor acknowledge it or empathiseAlso, after getting a verbal agreement, which is legally a contract, from *** *** to remove the hard inquiry from both *** and ***, he has been non responsive after providing him with needed information for removalI have left voicemails as well as emails, with no responseThis, on top of the Heinous treatment I received is just completely unacceptableThe GM, has also ignored all contact and will not respondI will be contacting the attorney general's office.
