Wharton Auto Group Reviews (1)

[redacted] contacted our dealership originally by phone in mid-July and spoke with one of our sales consultants, [redacted]. [redacted]l had questions about a vehicle we had in stock. He stated that he had looked at a similar one in [redacted], but the dealership there could not get him financed. [redacted]...

[redacted] said he might come in to look at the car. On July 16th, [redacted] came to our dealership and spoke with another sales consultant, [redacted] He examined our car, and we appraised the vehicle that he wanted to trade in to the dealership. We presented pricing on our vehicle, and a trade value for his vehicle, resulting in a difference figure that he would need to pay for the transaction. After some negotiation between both parties which included our sales manager [redacted], an acceptable figure was agreed upon[redacted] then spoke with our business manager who took a credit statement to obtain financing for the vehicle. As [redacted] stated in his letter to you, he could not get financing for the loan. [redacted] has since called the dealership at least twice. Both [redacted] attempted to explain and answer his questions regarding the transaction but this did not meet his satisfaction. [redacted]l hung up or was disconnected during one of these conversations. Our staff was cordial with him in conversation, but felt he was not. We have about a hundred used vehicles in stock at any given time. Some are priced below book value and some are priced above book value. Consumers are free to shop and choose the vehicles that they feel are the best value for them, whether it is at this dealership or a competitor dealership. [redacted]l chose a vehicle and agreed to the pricing (probably just as he did at the dealership in the [redacted] area that he mentioned). There were no problematic issues until he could not obtain financing.    Our dealership has operated in [redacted] since 1946 and is in its third generation of family ownership. We currently employ about 55 people and operate both Nissan and Cadillac franchises. We have an excellent reputation in our community and work every day to maintain that reputation. We regret that [redacted] feels this way, but we feel we have acted in a professional, business-like manner and have done nothing wrong.
