Complaint: 10977648
I am rejecting this response because: The accusation of sabotage is untrue. There was only one hole cut in my sheetrock by the plumber that was sent by the builder... Still not repaired. I only removed the carpet in one of the bedrooms; the bedroom where the carpet was removed had become moldy and ruined from the water damage. It was determined by myself that it would be cheaper to replace the carpet than to hire a professional cleaning /recovery company. The sprinkler being ran on my house was an experiment that was conducted for 1 hour and 12 minutes. I actually have time stamped videos of me Turing the water on and filming my results which is not near the two days time accused by Mr [redacted]. While all damages did occur days after the warranty on the home expired I had hoped that Mr. [redacted] would do the right thing by finding and repairing the faults in my home which caused the damages and repair all damages incurred due to the omission /errors in the initial build in my home.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Even though the warranty had expired on the [redacted] house, I did take steps to find possible source of water intrusion.  The following will explain the measures taken.First I sent a plumber to investigate for water leaks.  He found no leak in plumbing but did say that when he knelt on carpet...

that his knee got wet.  There was no apparent roof leak since the insulation in the attic was not wet.Next I sent a bricklayer to check for possible points of entry through the brick but found nothing there.  As a precaution I had him clean the weep holes and seal around windows with a sealant.  I then told Mr. [redacted] to let the brick dry and we would seal them.Thirdly, I had a roofer inspect roof for possible leaks but he found nothing. Then in the process of trying to find a source of water intrusion, Mr [redacted] sabotaged the efforts to isolate possible source of water by turning water sprinkler on brick wall for 2 days.  With the brick saturated and it rained there was no way to tell if water came through roof or brick. In the meantime Mr [redacted] took it upon himself to remove the carpet from two rooms and cut holes in the sheet rock walls.  He created more damage to the interior of his house than any water could have.At this point the source of water has not been determined.  It could be the roof, brick, splashed water from bathtub or spilled water on carpet.Sincerely,[redacted]Wheat Homes, LLC
