There was a miscommunication of the start date The project was started 6/and should be completed 7/barring any bad weather

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint In addition to the information I provided to you, [redacted] wanted me to tell [redacted] purchased this desk for [redacted] and only received half the deskI am also unhappy with the response she gaveI understand that this is a all sales final place but I was expecting to get a complete deskThe desk was wrapped in plastic with paper over the part that stated it was a box piece Regards, [redacted]

May 18th, Attn: *** *** I received you letter in regards to a complaint received in your officeThe complaint states our business, Hot Rod’s Used Furniture, failed to provide a refund of a desk which the customer states they did not receive all parts of the deskFirst, please
understand that this purchase was made in November 2014, and it is now May, months has passed since the original purchase dateI did sell the customer, *** ***, a desk that was still in the boxThe total amount was $100, not $as she statedThe desk was in a box, still wrapped in plasticI explained to Ms*** at that time, that there were no guarantees with the desk at the time of purchase. She agreed to that and signed the receipt that stated “All Sales Final”I did not notice the desk came in two boxes, and neither did she. I did explain to her several times that although the desk appeared to be new, that in face we had bought pallets of these items and I could not guarantee anything once she left the store with itShe agreed, paid cash and loaded it into her carWith that being said, we have been in business years and have not lasted this long by doing “bad” businessI would have been more than willing to search our warehouse for the other box, had Ms*** contacted me a few days or even a few weeks after she got the desk homeShe did notShe waited in excess of monthsI explained to her when she called, that we clean our warehouse out every few months, and throw away things that are not usableChances are that box was thrown out during clean out in Jan or even better chance again in MarchHad she contacted me in a reasonable amount of time, I could have found the other box and given it to herThere is nothing I can do at this point in timeAlso I cannot issue a refund, as our policy is “all sales final” and she was aware of thatPlease advise if you need anything further from usThanks, *** *** Manager

There was a miscommunication of the start date.  The project was started 6/23 and should be completed 7/7 barring any bad weather.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

In response to the complaint ID [redacted]. My answer remains the same. I acknowledge that the customer purchased a desk back in November 2014. Our business policy is all sales final. Had the customer contacted me shortly after the purchase was made, I would have been able to locate the missing box. However, as I stated before, our warehouse has been cleaned out twice since then. There is nothing I can do 6 months later. I will stand by our store policy. This is my final answer. Thanks.
