Purchased a Whirlpool (Kitchenaid) dishwasher on Oct6/ Model # [redacted] Lights on control panel started flashing 2nd week of Dec Then died on Dec22/ Repairman came on Decand had to order a control panel Came back on Jan14/ Same thing was happening even with new control panel Now he has to order a motor and control box Basically rebuilding this month old dishwasher (in my kitchen!) Contacted Whirlpool and because it is under warranty they will not replace this lemon, only repair it Repair was supposed to be today, but Whirlpool did not send one of the parts so repairman had to order another one Not here till next week Went to store where I bought it and they can't do anything either it is Whirlpool's decision Why can't Whirlpool just replace a lemon instead of spending all this money on repairs, which probably cost just as much? Not a happy camper Will never, ever buy Whirlpool again!

I have a year old washing machine where the seal is starting to wear and water is leaking out as it is a front load washer The part has been on backorder since February and every time I call back, the date gets pushed further for its ETA It went from available from May to July to now Sept!!!!! It is unfair that this part is not made available when Whirlpool is still actively selling this washing machine at appliance stores They are basically forcing consumers to buy a brand new machine because this part is not available This is an absolute essential part as the water is leaking out I called Customer Service today to make a complaint about this and the gentleman kept making excuses as to why he can't help...."oh sorry ma'am, I don't see your issue documented from Feb" -not my fault the parts department does not log my calls every weeks Then "oh your washing is out of warranty and the repairmen that diagnosed the issue was not sent out by us" - if it is out of warranty, it does not matter who services it Another - " I cant check if the part is available through my systems" - [redacted] I am telling your part is on back order for monthsThe best was when I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and the guys puts me on hold and then disconnects the line!!!!!

Very unhappy with this product and the response from WhirlpoolWe purchased a five year extended warranty This fridge has been given us trouble since we got it At first it leaked out the bottom damaging our freshly installed baseboards The one door freezes shut making it difficult to open, another drawer falls out when full of produce The compressor has just gone and the decision was to repair it The repair will not fix the drawer problem Very unhappy with the decision to repair rather than to replaceWe have been without a fridge from December Great day for it to break down Parts have been ordered with no definite date on when they will arrive No guarantee that there are not more broken parts that will cause continuing hassle

[redacted] First of all, my Whirlpool washer/dryer unit broke, after only yearsActually, it was just the dryer that broke, but because Whirlpool sent a technician to me whose warehouse was situated hours away, the 'diagnostic and shipping charge' would have cost just as much as a brand new unitSo - I was pushed into a corner to buy a brand new unitI ordered the unit, paid for it including shipping, and organized a delivery date with my tenants and the delivery companyWhat Whirlpool FAILED TO TELL ME was that they do no uninstall the old unit, so that although I had paid whirlpool to remove the old unit, the delivery company wouldn't touch it until it had been uninstalled by a tech/handyman [redacted] they won't pay for any liability insurance for installation, yet they somehow forgot to tell me thatWhat the [redacted] ?! So they left the new unit in the living room (tenant's living room), with the old unit in the laundry room, and told us to call them to come back when we had uninstalled the old one So - we uninstalled the old one, called the company who then said they couldn't help us with Whirlpool authorizationI have now been on hold and hung up on by Whirlpool timesthey are likely going to charge me with another delivery fee and then hang up on me [redacted]

I have two different cases to share
1) My washing machine requires a new console pieceThe technician arrived in mid-July We are mid-September and I have been told nothing about the status of my repairI rang up Whirlpool and they advised that the piece is on backorder with no delivery timeMy credit card warranty expires on 10/How much longer do I have to wait for this? I think this is completely unacceptable
2) My microwave fan stopped working last week (9/15)The technician was supposed to arrive today (9/21), and even rang me up on 9/to confirm the appointmentI took the day off of work, losing money in the processOn 9/Whirlpool customer service rang me up and advised that my appointment had to be cancelled because said technician did not work on microwaves, they advised that a second technician could come by on 9/22....which requires me to take another day off of work
Why did the technician call me on 9/to confirm that he was coming only for 9/to receive a call that he could not work on microwaves? The only word for this is incredible

Marco A's problem sounds just like mineMy dryer stopped working mid - September (2nd problem in months), the service man said it was a circuit board, which I eventually found out was backordered to October 28thStill on backorderStill without a dryer weeks laterToday Whirlpool said they've sent the case to their "parts research team" to see if they can find the partI'm not optimisticVery poor communication and absolutely no follow up*** **

Purchased a whirlpool he Cabrio washer & dryer set but hey never worked right and neither whirlpool nor the business I purchased them from ever resolved my issueI highly do NOT recommend whirlpool products anymoreThe company doesn't stand behind their products, and they make garbage products now

I would have done 0 stars if I could.

I needed my microwave fixed before Christmas. It told them the exact issue and gave my model number so they can order the part. On the Monday before Christmas the tech (who was very friendly) called and said he's in the building already so can he come over to do the repair a day early. I said yes and came home for from work. He came and put a cup of water in the microwave, it didn't heat, he said he doesn't have the part and I'd have to make another appointment. He was in my place for 2.5 minutes. I was charged $100 and still didn't have a working microwave. I had to cancel Christmas dinner at my place. I'm not sure what the point of this visit was because this was NOT a SERVICE/REPAIR appointment.

Their customer service person should have scheduled a repair. I'd rather get a bill for $300-400 and have a working microwave than pay $100 for someone to do exactly what I did and leave in 2 minutes.

Side note: both whirlpool products in our condo have stopped working and they are under 5 years old. I have [redacted] microwaves/ovens in my other condos that are more than 15 years old and still working so I WILL NEVER buy a whirlpool product again.

I want to be very clear in this review - the Tech was very friendly, I have no issues with him at all. I am upset at Whirlpool repairs though for wasting my time and money and ruining our Christmas. They called after I tweeted them and said that's their protocol. That customer service agent was very rude and kept speaking over me. Just don't wait your time with them.

Purchased a Whirlpool (Kitchenaid) dishwasher on Oct. 6/14. Model #[redacted]. Lights on control panel started flashing 2nd week of Dec. Then died on Dec. 22/14. Very unhappy with this product and the response from Whirlpool. We purchased a five year extended warranty.
This fridge has been given us trouble since we got it. At first it leaked out the bottom damaging our freshly installed baseboards. The repair will not fix the drawer problem. Very unhappy with the decision to repair rather than to replace. We have been without a fridge from December 25. Great day for it to break down. just bought a new Refrigerator KRMF706ESS to my new home on 12/7/2016 , got it installed on 12/11/2016 .After 24 hrs of running we noticed that the cooling was not working , Called the Whirlpool Canada to schedule a Technician Appointment . First appointment was scheduled on 12/21/2016, no body show up , after follow up with the Whirlpool Canada found out the Technician was sick so no body will be coming . We thought this may be true & requested for another schedule . We got it rescheduled for 12/27/2016 .Sine me & my wife are working , I took a day off to accommodate the Technician, Out of curiosity called Whirlpool Canada to reconfirm the schedule , found out the Technician was sick again , requested the operator for elevation . Spoke to the supervisor , assured that the Technician will be on 12/28/2016 . On 12/28/2016 got a voice message saying the Technician is sick again , no body will be coming & please call the service center to reschedule . Once again talk to the highest level , supervisor , at service center , expressed my frustration about this Technician frequently falling sick . At this time I also mentioned him I don't trust Whirlpool Canada . The supervisor was of no help simply he want me to reschedule to 01/04/2017. Asked about the what if this date also Technician fall sick again , no answer , they will handle day to day. For now I understood I am under the mercy of Whirlpool Canada .

The washer works well. The problem is the racks, they are garbage. They fall apart easily and are very costly to repair. re 400-500 dollars twice in five years. All the little bits fall off constantly hit the element and burn. The adjusters for the top rack are very poorly made and are quickly useless. The wheels are the first thing to go. I asked ** if I can buy new racks with all the bits attached so I can just start over, and they said no! Had to buy all the bits and pieces and yes get the tech guy in to assemble starting at about 300-400 to complete the job. NIce really nice so they have you anyway you turn. My mother has a dishwasher from 1972 works like a charm and always has. I think the whole industry is designed now to produce garbage so we have to keep on buying over priced parts! At this point I may as well cut my losses and buy a different brand. Sad for the environment to throw away a functioning appliance. Well I will avoid [redacted]; for any new purchase. complaint # with [redacted] XXXXXXXXXX B.P.
