White Dragon Comics

On March 25th, 2020 I placed an order with White Dragon Comics (WDC) for 9-comic books. Upon receiving my order, I realized I made an error and ordered 6-comic books I already had (ICEMAN issues #3-8, Marvel Comics 2017). As WDC had a return/refund policy, I first sent an email on April 8th and again on April 9th informing WDC of the comics I wanted to return and the reasons for doing so. I was initially willing to trade for other issues, however, I never received a reply from anyone at WDC and decided to go ahead and ship the 6-comic books to the address indicated in the return policy on their website via U.S. Postal Service (USPS) priority mail in order to comply with the WDC's return policy to have items returned within 7-days of receipt. Through USPS Tracking, I was aware that my package had been successfully delivered on April 13th. I sent another email on April 14th, and again on April 15th, to WDC asking for confirmation of their receipt of my package as well as the length of time I should expect with regards to a refund. On the evening of April 15th, I decided to call WDC since I never received any reply to my 4 emails sent over the previous week. I reached the manager/owner, who initially stated that there was no return policy, but did confirm that he had received all of my emails. He could not confirm that he had received my package because "he had not been over to check on the mail". When I informed him that his website stated otherwise, he became defensive and argumentative. I stated that I was simply following up on my return/refund (totalling in the amount of $23.02 after subtracting a 3%'restocking fee'+ $0.20) since no one had responded to me. He stated that due to the pandemic he would need "some time and would get back to me soon". After waiting more than 2-months, I emailed the WDC owner on June 21st and sent him a demand letter which he received on June 28th requesting my refund. Currently, he refuses to refund the $23.02 and states the comic books are damaged.
