Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:It is incorrect Afterward, [redacted] offered to send a maid to clean and only charge us half; this is not a complimentary cleaning The items were there in the morning before [redacted] arrived and not there after she left, no one else had been in the rooms where items are missing; this is proof Slander and libel should not come into play here In similar situations dealing with employee theft that I have had to deal with, I would speak with the employee(s), inform them of the evidence and in the one case where there was slight doubt (so gave them the benefit of the doubt), that their employee file will be updated to reflect this and if there is a repeat incident, we would have to let them go In the other cases where there was no doubt, inform them that we can no longer continue our relationship with them and let them go and if necessary, press charges There are no grounds for slander or libel when handled correctly. As mentioned when I spoke to them, the items identified are just a few of what is missing Based on this incident, we do not want any of their maids in our home to steal our stuff; we would like a refund for the poor service Also, nothing is mentioned about giving our personal information out Regards, [redacted]

to. From what I understand, the customer can find a gift card, necklace and some face wash. I asked the maid about these things and she said she had not seen them. I can't accuse the maid of stealing them without clear proof that she has. To accuse her without proof would put me in the position of being sued for libel or slander. So, I recommended that the client have the police investigate the issue.  I talked to [redacted] shortly after this incident and offered her a complimentary cleaning to compensate for the problems and inconvenience. This offer still stands.

I am rejecting this response because:It is incorrect.  Afterward, [redacted] offered to send a maid to clean and only charge us half; this is not a complimentary cleaning.  The items were there in the morning before [redacted] arrived and not there after she left, no one else had been in the rooms where items are missing; this is proof.  Slander and libel should not come into play here.  In similar situations dealing with employee theft that I have had to deal with, I would speak with the employee(s), inform them of the evidence and in the one case where there was slight doubt (so gave them the benefit of the doubt), that their employee file will be updated to reflect this and if there is a repeat incident, we would have to let them go.  In the other cases where there was no doubt, inform them that we can no longer continue our relationship with them and let them go and if necessary, press charges.  There are no grounds for slander or libel when handled correctly. As mentioned when I spoke to them, the items identified are just a few of what is missing.  Based on this incident, we do not want any of their maids in our home to steal our stuff; we would like a refund for the poor service.  Also, nothing is mentioned about giving our personal information out.
