I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First of all, White Manor Resort's "policy" is not clearly stated on her website, unless she has updated it since the complaint.   Secondly, Ms. [redacted] did NOT offer to let the dog stay for free (she had said she would charge $50 for the dog.} Additionally, I told Ms. [redacted] that my wife had suffered broken ribs in a fall recently and we would simply not be able to keep the reservation. There is more than ample time to rent the cabin with the holiday weekend forthcoming.  We believe Ms. [redacted]  is just unwilling to refund our deposit.  We feel this is bad business practice. Thank you for your consideration.Regards, [redacted]

On March 24th Mr. [redacted] reserved a cabin at White Manor Resort for 4 nights over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. I asked which night they would arrive on and he said Thursday. I clearly misunderstood him and did not realize they would be leaving on Sunday. Most people stay...

over until Memorial Day. I sent his invoice on March 24th with the charges clearly stated and did not hear anything from him until April 21st on a voice message that indicated I had overcharged him. The next voice mail said that he wanted to just cancel. When I did reach him, he said he thought the charges were too much so I offered for his dog to stay at no cost which would have saved him 75.00.  He then told me the dog had passed away. I also would have gladly made his reservation for 3 nights instead of 4 if there had been a misunderstanding. He said no, he just wanted to cancel and get his money. My policy is stated clearly on my web site. There is 4 weeks to book this cottage and upon doing so, I will return his deposit. I have not heard anything back from them and have not rented the cabin. The owner of this unit was here yesterday and told me the policy still stands. When people cancel at the last minute like that, it is hard to re-book it. People have made their holiday weekend plans many months ago. I sympathize with their situation but we have also lost income as well and that cannot be recovered unless it is re-rented.Maybe they will book a different weekend as I had offered.Thank you,[redacted]- General Manager
