The buyers were happy with the house when they moved in The well changed and got muddy months after they were in the home The well and water all passed local and state inspections by the health dept and a water test that stated it was free of any harmful bacteria and was safe to drink as required by the health dept At the time of closing the water was fine and if it wasn't the home couldn't of been cleaned properly , and the buyers or buyers agent would never of accepted the home and went to settlement with the water like it is now The well water did become muddy after time , that's one of the few things that neither me or any other builder , or anyone I know of can control besides God Water is a natural thing that's 300-feet in the ground and I don't any one who can see beneath the ground or control what happens down there There are several factors that come into play The spring could have changed and got muddy for any number of reasons Another well being drilled a mile away can tap into the same spring and cause that one to become dry and or muddy This homeowner doesn't want to accept that this is not my responsibility and I can't control water that deep in the ground After he was in for several months he had a company come out and install a filtration system and it didn't work They called me and I did some research and found another company that specializes in that problem He had them come out at which time he asked me to pay for half the system I did I want to make it a point that I am in no way required to do that and put no water systems or softners on any homes I build and neither does any other builder in the area I did pay for half that system to protect my name from the constant bashing from the buyers It did no good as I have seen my name ran in the mud on [redacted] and heard it from third parties about them bashing me and got calls from local news reporters that the buyers wanted to run a story about it on the news saying how I wouldn't help them I have helped them more , way more than I am required to and had the well driller come back and try to clean the well out which helped for a couple weeks and then paid for half the water system they had put in which helped for a month or so At this point I can help no more and am tired of the constant bad mouthing and having their friends bad mouth me on social media I've did nothing wrong and went beyond what I have to do to try to help them work this out If they want a new well and new appliances then they need to stop worrying about me and trying to ruin someone's name and get it done their selfs This is no different than if a tornado or flood happened and caused damage to their home I wouldn't be responsible for that either as it like the well is a act of God As far as their claims of punch list items not being completed that is a joke and the first I'm hearing about it and in my opinion just further acts of trying to bad mouth me and my company and ruin someone's name I'm sorry for the way this has worked out and they are having problems with their well but it's not my fault , or responsibility and at this point I am done trying to help resolve the issue especially when it's not appreciated

The water treatment system was which I paid of So unless they lied to me and it was more which I don't see happening ( why would he not tell me the correct price when I agreed to pay have ) then he is lying now Either way he is a LIAR Further more I came down dug a huge hole in his yard and filled it with loads of big rock for the water treatment system to spill the runoff or backwash into so really I paid more than half Again I cannot and never will be able to control a God given thing like water feet in the ground I am not paying for a new well no matter what he says or tries That's his responsibility and he needs to accept that The fact that he has been cussed like says was due to the fact that he won't drop this and it was done after his repediate blasting of my name on social media and his attempt to have the local news run a story on me not taking care of his PROBLEM If he would concentrate his time and energy on fixing his problem instead of trying to ruin my name and putting this in *** and that on this site and calling the news and calling Revdex.com then maybe he would already have it taking care of I'm done wasting my time and energy in this guy He can't be made happy , if he got a new well something else would be wrong just like his punch list items that everytime we would take care of something else would magically need done He needs to learn he is not renting a home anymore and I'm not his landlord on call to take care of every little maintance problem

There has been mis communication with the buyers and realtors and myself and we are in the process now of getting him taking care of

The buyers were happy with the house when they moved in . The well changed and got muddy months after they were in the home . The well and water all passed local and state inspections by the health dept and a water test that stated it was free of any harmful bacteria and was safe to drink as...

required by the health dept . At the time of closing the water was fine and if it wasn't the home couldn't of been cleaned properly , and the buyers or buyers agent would never of accepted the home and went to settlement with the water like it is now . The well water did become muddy after time , that's one of the few things that neither me or any other builder , or anyone I know of can control besides God . Water is a natural thing that's 300-600 feet in the ground and I don't any one who can see beneath the ground or control what happens down there . There are several factors that come into play . The spring could have changed and got muddy for any number of reasons . Another well being drilled a mile away can tap into the same spring and cause that one to become dry and or muddy . This homeowner doesn't want to accept that this is not my responsibility and I can't control water that deep in the ground . After he was in for several months he had a company come out and install a filtration system and it didn't work . They called me and I did some research and found another company that specializes in that problem . He had them come out at which time he asked me to pay for half the system . I did . I want to make it a point that I am in no way required to do that and put no water systems or softners on any homes I build and neither does any other builder in the area . I did pay for half that system to protect my name from the constant bashing from the buyers . It did no good as I have seen my name ran in the mud on [redacted] and heard it from third parties about them bashing me and got calls from local news reporters that the buyers wanted to run a story about it on the news saying how I wouldn't help them . I have helped them more , way more than I am required to and had the well driller come back and try to clean the well out which helped for a couple weeks and then paid for half the water system they had put in which helped for a month or so . At this point I can help no more and am tired of the constant bad mouthing and having their friends bad mouth me on social media . I've did nothing wrong and went beyond what I have to do to try to help them work this out . If they want a new well and new appliances then they need to stop worrying about me and trying to ruin someone's name and get it done their selfs . This is no different than if a tornado or flood happened and caused damage to their home . I wouldn't be responsible for that either as it like the well is a act of God . As far as their claims of punch list items not being completed that is a joke and the first I'm hearing about it and in my opinion just further acts of trying to bad mouth me and my company and ruin someone's name . I'm sorry for the way this has worked out and they are having problems with their well but it's not my fault , or responsibility and at this point I am done trying to help resolve the issue especially when it's not appreciated .

I am rejecting this response because:
This is rather rediculous. The company had been aware and updated frequently on any and all issues/complaints/repairs needed. In fact, I have the information to prove this. Any and all items which required attention, including my water and misc repairs were documented well within my "one-year warranty". I cannot help but feel that this company deliberately brushed these items off to get passed this warranty period in hopes to avoid any additional expenses. This company says they arent responsible for filtration, at no point during the  build was I instructed that I may need one but I have come to terms that I need one. The bigger issue is that do have a filtration system, $10,000 worth of it, which the builder did NOT pay half of it, he did however apply a very small portion and sadly, it still doesn't work. So at this point, I am stuck with this system that does not work, a home that is uninhabitable. My family and I(my wife and 2 year-old)have to rely strictly on bottled water, periods of time where the water is clean enough to shower in, bathe our son, do dishes and wash clothes. Otherwise, we are forced to seek a hotel or impede our family members homes. I cannot tell you enough how emotionally draining and frustrating the past almost 2 years have been living this way. In no way, shape or form, is it my intention to ruin any persons name or business, I only want to issues which exist to be corrected. I was forced to seek additional help from you (Revdex.com), online social media and other outlets because this owner is entirely too difficult to work with, he has threatened me, used inappropriate lauguage in regards to my family members and dropped any and all communication at times. if I cannot properly, professionally and respectfully communicate with someone due to his lack of desire to resolve anything, what else am I to do?
The issue in this case is that a new Well should be drilled. Every contractor that I have consulted along with the advise that the Warren County Health department instructed me that a new well must be drilled. I mention the health department because the owner himself told me that we needed seek advise on a remedy for this problem, I relayed the information given from the health department and the owner didn't like the response and got defensive.
All I want from this are all the issues that they were informed of to be addressed properly, efficiently and effectively. I will be happy to provide any and all information and documentation needed.

Review: Did not receive the money owed to me after closing. We had a house built by them and it lacks the quality one would expect from even a used home. They have yet to complete the punch out and when they attempt to do any of it their repairs are still jacked up. The owner does not really return calls or text messages and uses foul language in front of my children. Not professional at all and quality is no where near up to par.Desired Settlement: I hope the owner can act more professional and complete the tasks to the standard one would expect in a class A contractor.

Hello

I really dont know where to start here other than to say this guy is completly lying about everything and is someone who is impossible to please and trust me we have bent over backwards to try. I will start with the money that he says I owe him. When we first met ( my realtor , his realtor him and I) we agreed on a price for the home and he decided he wanted it on a lot that was on the open market listed for 20k. That set the price on the total home and land and the contract was signed for him to purchase the home for me on that lot. I then made a 17,500 offer on the property and the owner accepted it. This happens all the time in the real estate / construction buisness. [redacted] found out that the lot was purchased for less and has been demanding the saved money back which 1 isnt his and 2 the money saved went into having the lot perked for the septic system design anyway so it wasnt ever saved but regardless the contract was signed and because I made a deal later does not intitle him to any money. Both my realtor and HIS will confirm this with you. As for any work , my work and reputation speaks for itself with the reviews and recomendations I get and this is complete garbage. He has been upset with me for being 3 weeks behind on the home when HE was the one who kept making changes in the basment of his home, deciding what parts he did and dint want finished, while he was derciding this the home was being held up, and the fact that once he made the changes the plans had to be re drawn , re submitted to the county for review and then have the changes inspected. The home was on a 3 week delay but if the basment changes werent made the home would have never been behind , and that is when the homeowner started getting very irritated and started becoming hard to please. From that time on I recieved constant text messages telling me how to do my job. when to do it , and that none of my guys were doing it fast enough or good enough , and the messages were very degrading and smart alleck. I answered all of these messages or the first 50 anyway very professional and then did tell the homeowner that if he did want me to continue he needed to keep his smart [redacted] coments to himself. Once the messages continued for the next week or so I did have a lapse in judgement and tell him he was a smart mouth " [redacted] ". That was said in a text message in response to another one of his and in no way or at no time did I cuss the guy in front of his kids that is complete garbage. That was done after the punch out list was completed and signed off on by him. He states that I wont come fix anything but I have a attached list here he signed off on saying it was complete besides for paint issues( which there are none ). We has a walk thru at the home with myself , him, and both realtors present, at the time everythung was discussed and then was taken care of and signed off on. At the time of the walk thru he was informed by HIS realtor ( not mine) that alot of his so called issues were not issues and he was being ridiculous. His wife couldnt find half the things wrong on the list and laughed and made a comment that the homeowner got mad and went thru the home with blue tape saying " ill show him ". I close on 10-15 homes a year and have 70% of my homeowners right me letters and give gifts they are so pleased. the other 30% are still very happy and I dont have unhappy clients . This guy is impossible to deal with and Im sorry but the home is fine , the homeowner is not
