I can confirm that in previous years that my training sessions were usually charged at a time, but it was never a pre-authorized charge I have never personally purchased a single training session, but I believe they are available that way There was never any long term obligations Each time my package of sessions would be used up, it was my choice whether I chose to purchase another package of sessions or not (of which there are numerous options of different sizes and types of packages, or one at a time) And again, to reiterate, I did not authorize the charging of my credit card for this last package of sessions as I was still undecided on whether I would continueAnd yes, things were done verbally there for the most part

session booked like he mentioned, and it is policy that sessions are charged ahead of the day they train. Personal training sessions are non refundable, that is a common practice in all studios. We offered him a different time to train as well as having another client buy them. We do not sell single sessions which is why he verbally gave the okay to run his regular 12.  In our last email, we asked him to come to the studio and meet so we can resolve the situation. We are a fair studio and if we end up doing any financial transactions we would like to do those in person so we do not run into any miscommunications again. The offer to resolve is still on the table at [redacted]'s convenience.
