To whom it many concern,This letter is is response to the above mentioned file number/complaint. Below are my finding and resolution.*** *** was being billed for service rendered by *** *** *** *** ***. It appears we attempted to file *** *** insurance on
March 3, 2017, but that claim resulted in a rejection from the carrier stating the patient could not be identified. We then began contacting the patient in an attempt to get corrected information on March 9, 2017. The patient did contact us via our customer service line on May 31, 2017. At that time the patient was not willing to give us correct insurance information and requested that we give her the Providers, *** *** *** number ***. We consider this information somewhat private and our phone teams do not have access to that number and it's not something we readily give out. The representative did give the caller the provider's name, which we feel was sufficient information. Since receiving this request I have made contact with the hospital and have obtained corrected insurance information and I have filed a claim to them as of June 21, 2017.The account has been referred to an outside collection agency, *** ***. I have reached out to them and asked that they cancel the account and I've also verified that there has not been any negative reporting to the patient's credit.We feel this should resolve this issue.
