To whomit may concern:Residentsare always provided a copy of their lease contract and should know the amountof their rentOf course if a resident is ever unsure of what to pay, they arealways welcome to contact the office and we will be happy to let them knowTheamounts of water due changes every
month and this is the amount that Ms.*** would oweResidents are provided, by our billing company through themail at the end of each month the total of their billsIf the amount due tothe property is not full rent, we do not notify residents until after the tenthof the month to give them a chance to pay and because we don't charge late feeson small balances.The renewal was given toMs*** and it is made clear that we require a 60-day notice to vacate.It is in the lease that she signed and in the renewal notice she receivedShestated that she did not get that notice until January 28th so wetold her instead of expecting her to give notice until April 5th; wewould accept notice until April 3rd waiving two days.Thenight drop slot is provided as a convenience and residents are required toprovide us notice to vacate by coming into the office or dropping in the nightdrop slot if they so chooseThe renewal notice does not state that the noticeto vacate can be dropped off in the night drop but it also does not state thatit can'tThe night drop slot is an option and convenience weather a residentchooses to use it or not, is up to them.We are always fair and that is why we waived two daysIt is theresident's responsibility to provide days noticeI would be more than happyto speak with Ms*** to try to explain our policies and come to anarrangement th we both can agree on

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:As I stated in the original complaint, I never did receive a copy of my renewal in October 2014; hence why I was calling in every month to get the amount that was due, including my water bill which does fluctuateThat is correct, the notice was not dropped off until January 28th, therefore why am I being punished for a notice that was dropped off late? In addition it DID NOT state that I am able to drop off the notice, a written statement, in the drop boxI am not sure my complaint was read carefully by this Community DirectorI stated the written statement was NOT being accepted in the office by the employeesTherefore, how would it have been ok to place it in the drop box, being an UNACCEPTABLE FORM, and then being charged for "not turning it in correctly" im sure of itThis is one of those "doomed if I do, doomed I dont" situationsHad there been proper instructions on this notice, I would have placed this written statement in the night drop box, if it did in fact state I was able to on the instructions providedNever have I experienced an apartment complex wanting a written statement placed in a drop box, wrather placing it in someones hands with a verbal approval of acceptance of the formWhite Rock needed additional forms signed and dated by me of when I would be evacuating the apartmentI did in fact sign and date the forms, dated March 31st, the end date of my lease, because my written statement was UNACCEPTABLE by themOnce again, they were signed and dated by me, in case the employee disposed of the forms nowIf this Communtiy Director, ***, would in fact like to contact me for further resolution, it would be greatly appreciated to avoid yet ANOTHER late notice of funds neededLets all take ownership and consideration for those of us that need to come up with the funds needed to cover this ridiculously unfair chargeRegards,*** ***
