Add White Rock Vacuums in your "Never-to-visit" list

The product is Bissell's "Little Green" (a spot carpet cleaner) purchased in February, 2016. In July, it stopped spraying cleaning solution, although solution was coming out of nozzle. I took it to White Rock Vacuums (one of Bissell-authorized dealers) on August 9. The next day, I received a phone call from White Rock Vacuums saying "I've never seen such a heavy clogging in the cleaning solution hose. Don't ever use that cleaning solution. Because the solution you used is not Bissell-recommended, there will be no warranty. The cost of repair is $39.00 plus tax."

I agreed to the cost and the repair was done. On August 20, I picked up "Little Green" from the shop. After coming back home, I removed the (clogged) hose and found a kink (permanently deformed), then dissected the hose all the way (about one meter long). Inside the hose was very clean and no clogging.

I reported the shop about what I found out and asked them how they arrived to their diagnosis; that is, the hose was clogged because of the cleaning solution used. (They didn't know the kind of cleaning solution I've been using because neither they asked me nor I told them about the kind of solution used)

Bob [redacted] of White Rock Vacuums responded by saying "I didn't see a kink. If there is a kink, then the repair will be covered by warranty. So bring it to the shop."
Without properly checking the product to find the cause of the problem, Bob simply made up the cause; that is, clogging due to the use of solution not recommended by Bissell (therefore no warranty).

The worst happened after the repair; they completely destroyed my "Little Green" which became useless.

Since the repaired "Little Green" started leaking from the bottom part and the vacuum power got weaker than before, I opened the bottom plate to find a big surprise. White Rock Vacuums replaced the entire hose assembly with a wrong one (a second-hand part from unknown model). Because the wrong one is thicker than the original one by about 1.5 mm, the bottom plate cannot fit in the main body, creating a gap. In spite of the fact that the bottom plate and the main body require a tight-fit in order to create a vacuum seal where O-ring is used, White Rock Vacuums simply attached the bottom plate to the main body by applying excessive force to screw in, leaving the gap as it was. Due to the gap, dirty water leaked and the vacuum power was reduced because the vacuum seal was broken.

They (White Rock Vacuums) don't have even the basic understanding of vacuum cleaners, although they claim Bob has 35 years of experience (another person called Gary has 25 years of experience) according to their website.

They may tell you a lie and make you spend money on unnecessary repair work or advise you to buy a new (or used) product even if what is really required is a simple repair job. That may be their way of doing business and experience. I spent money on their repair work and they destroyed my "Little Green".

I recommend you to add "White Rock Vacuums" in your "Never-to-visit" list.
