October 16, Dear [redacted] ***, (The Revdex.com)in reference to your letter, regarding case ID# [redacted] , we located our records for the date of 8-22-14, showing the details of the repairs done to the vehicle of this particular customerAs per our records, the coolant leak was checked, we contacted the customer by phone, explaining what the leak was and what the cost of the repairs would beThe customer gave us permission to proceed with the work required to fix the problem, as per the discussion on the phoneWe repaired the coolant leak, the customer paid the bill and picked up the vehicle on 8-27-14.On 10-2-14, this same customer came into our office stating the vehicle had a "water” leak and also stated he had taken it to another business to get it repairedHe stated this other business indicated his vehicle was not repaired properly, while at our place of businessWe have no way of knowing if, indeed, there was a continued coolant leak or what repairs may have been done to this vehicle, because this customer never returned the vehicle to us to be recheckedPlease note the time lapse in between the date of the initial repairs and the date of the complaint, if there continued to be a problem and this customer was not satisfied with the repairs we did, we would have gladly rechecked and fixed the problem, had he returned the vehicle to us immediately,As per your letter, the customer is requesting the labor reimbursement in the amount of $244.00, Please refer to the copy of the original bill, included, and you will see the actual labor fee was $140,00, which brings a question of honesty on the part of this customer, if this customer shows us proof of this repair (an itemized bill) from the other supposed repair business, we will reimburse the initial labor cost of $140.00.Hopefully, you will understand our position in this matter and this case will be closed.Very truly yours, Larry W
