Review: I had five garments dry-cleaned at this dry cleaners, and I was not satisfied with the service I received. I am a first-time customer, who was given misinformation by two employees of this establishment, and was treated very disrespectfully by the owner. Upon examination of my garments I noticed that two of the dresses still had visible stains. The worker told me, and the owner later repeated, that because I requested same-day service, they did a rush job. I was told that they would clean the dresses again in an attempt to remove the stains, and that I could pick the dresses up the next day, which is today. My main concern is with one of the dresses which was discolored as a result of their cleaning process. This is a pretty pricey dress that I've only worn one time. The black part of the dress came back looking very distressed. I went in this morning to speak with the owner, [redacted], who was very rude and argumentative. He offered to send the dress to New York for a garment analysis, which will take at least three weeks. The woman who cleaned the dress admitted that the dress was faded after she cleaned it. I will never patronize this business again.Desired Settlement: Have the owner compensate me for the cost of the dress, which they ruined.

In response to your letter dated 04/10/2014, the garment in question is a black and tan dress. The garment was made in China and is a mix of

cotton and silk fabrics. The care label states it is both washable and dry cleanable.

The garment was dry cleaned for the first time. There was no adverse affect to the cleaning of the tan colored fabric part of the dress.

The separate black fabric appears to have some color loss but did not bleed into the tan fabric.

We have offered to pay for a garment analysis to determine the cause of the color loss. Should the analysis find that the dry cleaning

process was at fault or if it is inconclusive in its finding we would reimburse the cost of the garment. Should the analysis find the dyes

in the garment are solvent soluble or defective we would not be responsible for reimbursement.

Our laboratory has received the below referenced garment for serviceability testing.Item "BCBG Maxazria" Dress Black and tan We do not yet know whether its failure to perform is due to consumer mishandling,normal wear, inherent fiber characteristics,

cleaner error, manufacturing defect or care label issue. If the problem relates to the manufacture of the garment or the care label instructions we would very much like

to work with you to ensure the satisfaction of your customer with a prompt and fair resolution to any claim they may have. We would therefore appreciate you directing this

notice to the appropriate person in your organization and ask them to contact us so that our findings can be discussed. If the problem is cleaner error, the cleaner will be

advised to make fair restitution to the customer. This may mean replacing the garment or a monetary settlement. In this case, your firm's guidance on whether or not the item

is still available in the retail market would be of tremendous value. Should the care label or a manufacturing issue proves to be the cause we will suggest that the consumer

return the garment to its place of purchase and ask for a return or exchange. Of course, we would appreciate your help in facilitating this.

For your information and use, our analysis department should complete the test within 48-72 hours from the above date. We look forward to hearing from you before we issueour report to the consumer. With sincere thanks for you prompt response.
