[redacted],
I do not recall getting a receipt with the purchase and if I did it got discarded in the trash with the bag it came in.
Review: I used Jeff and Nancy W[redacted], of White's Trading and Arms, to sell on consignment a long gun and about 5 magazines from another gun. This was back in November 2013. I was moving to California (from PA) and due to the gun laws I couldnt bring some of my guns and magazines into the state. Since I used Jeff and Nancy a couple times before, it seemed appropriate to use them again. But I was very wrong about that. Very limited communication has occurred since we last met, all of which by text messages and a couple of unreturned voicemails. Nancy finally acknowledged that they sold the gun in mid-January but the buyer only made a down payment and that the balance was going to be paid mid-February. I reconnected mid-February and Nancy said shed mail me the money. Nothing was received in the mail so I reach back out a couple weeks later. Nancy then acknowledges that she will be mailing the check soon. I wait a couple of weeks and still nothing is received and then I reach back out. Same story, Nancy acknowledges and says something will be sent soon. This plot has played itself out in February, March, April, May, June, July, and August. Its now September and theyve just ignored my last text messages. They have expressed to me some personal struggles going on in their family in our text message exchanges, which I am understanding and sympathetic of, but not paying me after 8 months from the time that the items have sold is ridiculous. Because of my kind heart, I was holding back on writing reviews hoping that this would be resolved, but unfortunately it has not.Desired Settlement: The consignment agreement was to sell the gun for $1,700 and the five magazines for $145. Whites's Trading and Arms would charge a consignment fee of $100. The dealer acknowledged that the gun sold for $1,650. The new cost for the gun plus magazines is $1,795, minus the consignment fee ($100) equals a payment to me for $1,695.This will be resolved when a check of $1,695 has been paid out to me.
