The consumer purchased a solid wood dining table in April 2016.  She reached out to us, the manufacturer, on November 1, 2017 to complain of scratches in the top surface of the table.  Pictures were requested an received.Whitewood saw no indication of a manufacturing defect, but rather,...

saw evidence of normal wear and tear that would be expected on any wooden table top after more than a year of use.The consumer stated that she was not told to try to protect the surface (with place mats, table cloths, or trivets).  Custom made table pads have been in use for more than a century now to protect the surface of dining table tops.Whitewood does not believe the table responded to wear any differently than any other wooden surface.
