Automax apoligizes for the lack of communitcation as our service advisor was out sick The damages were beyond repair from our local vendor, therefore we had to send the work out to another vendor that could handle the major damage The customer has been contacted by Automax and the repairs are being worked on with an estimated completion date of today

This is a follow up on a previous complaint I made about automaxNow they are holding a check for a signatureThey have sent me a copy of the check without the signature via a text messageThis has been going on for days nowFriday I went to get the check figuring it would be no problem to get itBut as I feel automax is playing a game with the money I'm owedI feel they are doing this out of spiteI have spoken to [redacted] l several times and he says he is trying to help me

What Happened:
On March I purchased a Kia Sorento for $24,from Automax Ford Dealership located at E Central TX ExpresswayThe man whom assisted me in the purchase was William Turner, a c

Customer come into our dealership on 7-10-14 8:42am without an appointment, he explained that he works in Austin and that he had taken the day off to have his vehicle looked at.  We explained to the customer that without an appointment we could still take him in,
however we would have to...

fit his vehicle in between the appointments that we have, we could not committ to a completion time, but we would do  our best to at least get the vehicle in to be diagnosised.  We offered the customer to catch our shuttle van to give him a ride
home because it would be awhile before we could get his vehicle into the shop.  Customer chose instead of catching the shuttle to wait,
during his wait time the service advisor spoke and spent time with the customer to give him updates on three seperate occassions, at no time did the customer express disatisfaction or urgency, in fact the customer did not approach the service advisor at any time to ask
any questions.  The customer had two concerns that he wanted addressed:
1.  Customer request starting system check, vehicle will not start sometimes mostly when it is hot out, customer thinks, first time in the 
     mornings or not its just intermittent.
    Cause: Tested battery/starting/charging system, all passing.  If vehicle is exhibiting intermittent cranks but won't start condition, may
    be related to MAF ETC as diagnosed on Line 2. Starting Circuit Test 99/05. completed.
2. Customer states the EPC light is on
    Cause: Found multiple codes stored in ECM including P0420 (Cat Converter), P1152 (Bank 1 Lean), P3171 (Bank 1 Lean), P0118 
    (ECT Circuit High), P1364 (Cyl 4 ignition activation), and P0321 (Engine speed circuit), found throttle body out of basic settings, 
    RESET SETTINGS.  Found MAF is reading incorrectly, intermittently jumps from 2.5 G/S to 4.11 G/S, ETC, suggest replace MAF and 
    reset, vehicle may also have further issues, tested fuel PSI, at 40psi.  Estimate on replacing MAF $233.00 with labor of $334.60.
As you can see the technician spent time to diagnosis the customer concerns and has to be paid for his time, the customer was advised of the diagnosis time in advance.  Once the diagnosis was persented to the customer he stated that "he could fix what ever is wrong with his vehicle".  Automax fullfilled the customers request and went above and beyond for this customer who come into the dealership without an appointment and still had diagnosis by the end of the day. The customers complaint is unwarranted.

The time was 7:42 AM and I was in line behind someone else. Also, I set up an appointment the night before through the website. The website showed that there was an available time slot for 7:30. See attachment.

An outside vendor had priced that vehicle in error and when it was brought to our attention we called this vendor and they admitted making the priceing error and the correction was made immediately.
