Complaint:***
I am rejecting this response because:
All of the dealers responses regarding the intervals between and the mileage on my vehicle at the times of service are irrelevant to the damage caused to my wheel lock and wheelI have found no links, nor have they described any links, between these two issuesThere is however a link between *** rotations and damage to the wheel and wheel lockPrior to my *** rotation in 2/Automax was the only service department to perform a *** rotation on my vehicle Although My last *** rotation at Automax was in 1/I did place my vehicle in there care 4/and 7/They failed to perform the needed (and prepaid) *** rotation in 7/for reasons unknown to me, but quite possibly because the broken wheel lock prevented such service.
Regarding there attempt to divert blame to the other service departments I had to go to in order to fix the damage they caused, the damage was immediately noticed and reported to me upon taking my vehicle to Allen Samuels for a *** rotationI received a call within minutes of dropping my car off about the damage and there recommendation to go to a wheel specialistI called the recommended specialist and explained my issueThey stated it was outside of their scope and referred me to *** ***I explained my issue to the service guy at *** *** who then walked with me to my vehicle that was in their parking lot and immediately upon inspection said there was nothing they could do thereI finally found *** Hyundai dealershipThe damage and degree of damage was confirmed, but they were able to perform the repairs needed

Our records indicated that Ms. [redacted], although she did bring her vehicle in for maintenances, she did not bring the vehicle in at “regular intervals”, her oil changes were due every 3,750 miles, and also vehicle was due for intermediate and major services that were not completed ( 15k, 30k, and 60k), our records indicate that Ms. [redacted] would always come in with excess mileage of 1,050 to 5,450 miles over the regular intervals.
Ms. [redacted]’s last visit to Automax was on July 7, 2013 at which time her vehicle had 50,279 miles, at which time we performed an oil change, we did not rotate her [redacted], therefore we would not have caused damage to the wheel lock. In the event that we do rotate [redacted] we use a torque stick to insure lug nuts are not over
tightened. We submit that the through Ms. [redacted]’s own statement she took her vehicle to two different Hyundai dealers and a [redacted] store and at that time I was informed that Ms. [redacted]’s vehicle had 65,000 to 68,000 miles, to have [redacted] rotated and at that time someone would have had to use the wheel lock key to remove the wheel locks and possibly caused the alleged damage at that time. Automax assumes no liability for the alleged damage.
