The saying, "you get what you pay for" is generous when it comes to Island Blinds.
Yes, they were a bit less expensive than [redacted] quote) ... About 10 -15%, but the sloppy workmanship (not properly repairing holes left behind on newly painted walls, damage to the new shutters), extreme delays (promised 6 to 8 weeks delivered about 16 weeks), rude employees, and having to come back to fix (not to my satisfaction, but to theirs) a few times, would lead me to never refer anyone to Islsnd Blinds. They did not show up on time when they said they would, the forgot some of the blinds that they were to install, they left work unfinished and did not come back for weeks after repeated calling, and when I held back paying thierblast installment of about 20%, the owner came to the house threatening to remove all the blinds unless paid. He also did not know that he had received 80% of his money, believing he had been paid 50%.
Should have honesty [redacted] ... They did some other less expensive blinds, and I was 100%satisfied with [redacted] was timely, did not leave a mess, had superior workmen for the job ... I was told by Island Blinds that they were the experts and that they do better work ... My experience was the total opposite!
If I could characterize the workmanship and the people at Island Blinds ... I'd say "sloppy!" ... And when spending thousands of dollars for treatments, one would expect something better.
