I personally talked with the person that wrote this complaint today on the phoneShe admits that she was not at the home, so the exact conversation on site is not known for certainWe do know that my certified Journeyman technician checked out the system and even though it is years old he felt
it was safe to repair and operatedHe took the time to not only make the repair but to also confirm the operation was safe after the repair and advise the customer as per his findings. Because we have GPS units on all our trucks, we were able to confirm that he was at the home for a total of twenty nine minutes
National third party independent data tells us that the average life of a gas furnace is years. Older furnaces have a much higher frequency of heat exchanger failures than newer unitsWhen they fail they can send carbon monoxide gas into the homeWe would not have done our job correctly if we did not provide valuable and relevant information to our customersThe most importantly safety concerns. That is why we suggested that if the home currently did not have a COdetector in place, then installing one would be a good idea and also required by law

I personally spoke with the customer on the phone regarding this issue and apologized that she was upset regarding the situationAlthough it may have seemed like this was a to minute repair, our GPS indicates that the technician was there for a total of minutesWhile we do have a
diagnostic charge to determine the problem, we always credit that charge if you agree to proceed with the workThe customer requested an adjustment to her bill and we offered a credit of $which she accepted and the credit has been processedIn addition to this, she requested that we review our pricing on this type of repair to determine if this was the correct price, this analysis also was completedThe customer has agreed to drop the complaint
