I called Whitton on Friday morning after getting a recommendation from someone I know for *** *** came out Friday afternoon and let me know he would cut me a deal to snake the line that was clogged for $ After some difficulty, he let me know the price was going up to $ He continued working on it and couldn't get the line to unclog Since he couldn't fix it, he said he would only charge $for the service call and would come back Monday with a supervisor to give me a quote for running a new sewer line He said it would likely involve digging up foundation and tearing up the tile floor I asked for a ballpark price, and he said $ I was left with a big mess of black sludge on the floor in the laundry room, and the line was now more clogged than when he started and I lost use of my kitchen sink too I called this morning, and was told *** would just e-mail me a quote for the new sewer line He didn't even know where the sewer lines ran when he was out, so I'm not sure how he was planning to come up with that number I called another plumbing company for another opinion, and that guy was out an hour later and unclogged the line in about minutes The total charge for snaking the line, and hooking up the plumbing that was left undone by ***, was $ He also cleaned up the messSo I paid $for Whitton to make things worse and try to rip me off with saying I needed new lines, and I paid $to the guy that actually fixed it I've put in calls since AM letting them know I'm unhappy and feel ripped off, and was told a supervisor would get back to me- but so far nothing and it is about 4:PM If you want a more honest and skilled company that won't charge a ridiculous service fee for doing nothing, call Drain Masters instead
