Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
We (all the neighbors on our road in question) hired his company to get an expert bid on our road. we expected him to know what we needed to fix our road (how many loads and what kind of rock). Instead of fixing the road, he left it almost completely unusable. I contacted him to fix it, but he refused unless we paid him more. we had to hire someone else to repair it, costing us more money. We are very unhappy with the quality of his work. We would not recommend hiring this company.Sincerely,*** ***

Whitworth Excavating graded road and placed rock as stated in signed contract. We came up short on rock that we estimated job would require. customer purchased an additional load of rock at cost and Whitworth Excavating donated a load of rock at no charge with a value of $400.00 Rock was placed and...

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:  His statement is not true.
I am representing 10 neighbors, 5 of which are located on the hill.  We requested a small amount of rock at the bottom of the hill.
The rest was to go on the upper part of the driveway in an area that had hardly any rock at all.  Instead, he dumped the whole
10 yards on the hill and left.  The additional load was not discounted.  We had to pay someone else to bring 10 yards of fill
material to make the road useable.

To whom it may concern,
 
As per our estimate, road was graded and compacted. gravel was delivered, placed, & compacted. We were complimented for work performed from customers on the road, unfortunately [redacted] felt there was not enough gravel placed towards the end of the road nearest his driveway. It is best not to place too much rock on a steep hill similar to which is located just ahead of [redacted]’s driveway. [redacted] felt that there was not enough rock placed in this area and was adamant that more be delivered and placed on the hill which we did at no additional charge for one load and a  discounted rate for the second load. There was no changing his mind and I was not about to argue with the customer. When [redacted] contacted me some time after the work had been completed and paid for he insisted I return to make changes to the area he initially asked me to place additional  rock, which I stated I was happy to help with although I could not perform the additional work at no cost. I would have been happy to help out at a discounted rate but they chose to have someone else perform the additional work.
