Response to customer complaint...As customer states this vehicle was sold "as is" with 295k milesIt is a Chevrolet 4xPickup with 6.6l Duramax Diesel engine with Allison transmissionCustomer states that she was told that she couldn't take it to her mechanicThis is not correctAll
customers are allowed to have any vehicle they are looking to purchase evaluated by their mechanic at their place of business or could come to our facilityWe do tell customers that depending on the vehicle because we sell Lifted trucks and diesels that we like to go with them because not everyone knows diesels and to make sure customers don't go joy riding in a lifted vehicle. The "Noise" that was expressed as a concern was brought up after owning the vehicle for a weekWe brought the truck into see what the complaint issue wasThe final disposition was to replace the rear caliper, rotor and brakes under "Good Will Repair"Which means we paid for parts and labor but it does not imply neglect or warrantyWe also advised Customer to stop driving with emergency brakes engaged.Customer called about weeks after owning the truck and asked if I would look at the truckI told her that I was extremely busy with our contracting trucks and would be atleast 2-weeks before I could get to look at itI called her back and scheduled for her to come by and I would take a lookI test drove the vehicle with *** and could here a small rattleI explained that it could be the chain in the transfer case slapping slightly which is common on Chevrolets of this year with high mileage or the aluminum driveshaft loose or something in itI engaged the wheel drive and it was working on the test driveI explained that with the transfer case it was pretty much either ok (working) or notI told her that if it was me I would continue to drive it because it was working fine but had some noiseI wouldn't be able to work on it for still a couple weeks but if she was concerned she could go to a couple other shops that I knew had some time.I didn't hear anything else from the customer until she showed up with a list from another repair facility that she went to that said the transfer case, ball joint and a few other things were wrongShe wanted me to look at it againAgain, at no cost I had my mechanic look the vehicle overHe verified that the transfer case was making a noise but now was not engaging the 4xShe asked me to see how much a transfer case and labor would beI looked up multiple options and gave her figuresShe claimed she couldn't afford thatShe later came back with family member to see what I was going to doI gave her best part prices I could and offered to absorb the laborAgain, under "Good Will Repair" to help her outShe said okThe next thing I hear is from the Revdex.com with a complaint from her.As far as her complaint that there are other items that wouldn't pass state inspection and that we some how covered them up is complete and total liable on her partWe are not a Virginia State Safety inspection FacilityWe take all vehicles to Official VA State Safety Inspection FacilitiesThat is our first step in our mechanical reconditioning of a vehicleNothing is touched, changed or inspected before the state safety inspectionsWhat ever the inspectors find wrong with the vehicle, we repairPeriodThen it goes back for re-inspection There are no cover upsWe also retain all the Rejection sheets, parts purchased and Re-Inspection sheets of every vehicle just in case someone like this customer comes along and doesn't want to take personal responsibility for themselves. There are some customers that you just cant please.Respectfully,Jeffrey LCaseWholesale Auto Warehouse"Retail Quality at Wholesale Prices"*** *** *** ** ***

*** came in to purchase the car listed, in agreement Jeff case (owner)agreed to make repairs for the car at hand and in signing the buyers order binds *** to a legal sale and purchase of the car *** contacted us and said her mother did not want her to buy the car-that was her only
statement for wanting out of the binding contract This also removes our car from inventory and no longer listed for sale, loosing daily sales *** in her decision to bind this legal contraallowed her to break the contract but she would be forfeiting her deposit When someone puts a deposit down on a vehicle in the state of va., Per dealer board and seriousness of our dealer and license agentsWawarehouse license could be removed if we ever practiced illegal acts (and the vaDealer board had been contacted on *** do to her threats) rest assured they stated we did nothing wrong by not returning her deposit, that is the decision and right of every dealership.Thank you ***

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Some customers do not expect to purchase a vehicle in fair to poor condition when advertised and sold at good condition price I was told by the salesperson I spoke with (not the owner) that they didn’t allow vehicles to be taken to other establishments due to issues with other mechanics damaging vehicles I also did not say that they tried to cover anything up on the inspection, I simply restated what the state police officer told me when we contacted them about our concerns regarding the state of the vehicle and the recent inspection sticker. I do not wish to pursue this matter any further At this point I just want to caution perspective customers so they do not find themselves in a similar circumstance

My attorney has told me that a Buyers Order is not a binding contract, and that I should have been given both pages which I was not No where on the buyers order does is state that a deposit is non refundable nor was I given that information verballyMy mother is deceased as of Dec 8, and therefore could not have told me not to make this purchase The car was returned and viewed by me and others to the craig's list ad that it was found on in the first place It is still listed on Craigs list currently The response to my complaint was not given personally by MrCash and that causes me to question even more of his business practices He has given several incorrect statements in his response Thank you for your time,Regards, *** ***
