Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/10/01) */
To get the facts straight,
contract date 6/11/
work done 6/24/
Meet with Home owner 8/23/
Problem fixed 9/12/
Sent balance invoice 9/19/
Start to finish days (months), not
Have trouble getting Homeowner ( husband) on
phone, could only leave messages
Meet with Homeowner only on Sunday, no other day works for them
Black TV cables were showing, some caulk did lump coming out of caulk gun, a few pieces of siding scrap was left in back yard
All has been corrected
I did not realize I was talking down to them, just trying to explain why you can not put TV cable junction boxes behind siding panel
Have not heard from them since correction made on 9/12, assume all is good
I am not Business to make people mad
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/10/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If you check YOUR facts, YOUR representative met with us before the actual contact dateI have the paperwork to back upBut that is a moot point
The work is not completed, caulking not corrected and the underside of the deck not completed as discussed as previously mentionedI am tired of dealing with your company and the sub-par completion of the work complete
My husband works a full time job as well as takes care of his elderly fatherI work jobs and am a full time student
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 19, 2015/11/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Caulking never fixed as discussedAs outlined in letter sent to company with final paymentWish to sever ties at this time; would just be easier to complete work on our own at this point
Final Business Response /* (4000, 21, 2015/11/03) */
The Homeowner made final payment, job is finished, anything else said is just repeating ourselves
Like they say: You can make happy
"Some of the people all the time, All of the people some of the time, But never all the people all of the time"

The husband called quite a few time during the process, 1 day he called 3 times, each time we told him they were not in so we could not install them until they arrived from the factory.
Seemed impatient.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/30) */
The doors were customer ordered and the problem is with the manufacturer not the Company that placed the order.
With the economy as strong as it is the industry is having a hard time keeping up, they are hiring on a second and third shift at...

the plants. We should have called her more often to let her know they were not here. We give homeowners an estimated delivery time which we have no control over.
Sorry we could not get her doors fast enough.
Since they are custom sized and will not fit someone else's home, I will donate them to [redacted] I returned her deposit in full. She talked to the installers when they called her to schedule the install, at that time she decided to cancel once they were ready to be put in. She never contacted me directly about a refund.
[redacted]/ owner
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
In your response you stated you refunded my money. I have not received a refund. In addition, I have emailed you personally and you have left me a personal voicemail on my cell phone so you were well aware of the problem. Exactly when will I receive a refund? You may not be responsible for the manufacturing of the doors but your company is clearly responsible for communicating both during install and during any ongoing issues. This is clearly a problem.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/08/04) */
I stand by my statement. The homeowners is correct, I should have called her more often, but we tell Home Owners we will call them when it comes in, She waited until the day we called to schedulde an install to cancel. The check was mailed 7/30.
Again all we do is order the doors, not make them.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2015/08/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The communication problem with your company is that I made SEVERAL calls to my salesman that went unanswered and ignored. My calls were not returned and explanations were not given to me. I did receive my refund.

Dear [redacted],

The window that was damaged has not been replaced yet. We are still waiting. We did receive 2 phone calls but were not home. We tried to call back to talk to [redacted] at ###-###-#### with no success. We are hoping that we will get this done very soon. Hopeful..... [redacted]

The appointment was set for Feb. 24th at 4 pm. I had called Ms. White and told her I was around the corner, she said she was just getting home herself. When I arrived 3 minutes later, the kids were getting out of the car. I walked up and said hello, did not think I had to tell her who I was.  I...

do not shake hands with women unless the initiate it first, I found that it makes some feel uncomfortable. I did notice it looked like she was not in a good mood. I had been there before in 2015 to measure for a warrant issue. She asked if I installed and I said "no I do not install, I am the owner." The windows she bought were manufactured by [redacted], the manufacturer went out of business and the manufacture's lifetime warranty ended at that time. In order to repair her windows I will have to purchase the glass from a 3rd part. I was trying to explain this to her that I would help her with the cost when all of a sudden she raised her voice and said "that is not my problem", trying to explain it was not my fault either, she wanted to know why I sold her windows from a company that was going to go out of Business in the future, " If I had known they were going out of business I would not had put them in my house or sold them to you." All of a sudden her voice got louder and she said "get out of my house", as I was putting on my shoes, still trying to help her, all she keep saying is "get out of my house",In the garage, I stopped to tie my shoes laces and she said " get out of my garage", I stopped again to tie my shoes and again she said "get off my driveway. at that point I said nothing else just left. We warranty the installation as long as you own the house , even if you turn in into a renal and do not live there. Manufacturers warranties are just that, from the manufacturer, if they go out of business then the warranty goes also. I have been in Business 23 years and contracted with over 400 homeowners a year, I have never been told to "get out of my house". I understand her frustration,I am willing to work with her but she or her husband will have to meet with me to clear this up since I am the sole owner. FYI [redacted] was sold 2009 to a catalog company and will not longer warranty any [redacted] products with their name on it.
