Middle Eastern Service
The Worst customer service in Orange County. The list goes on and on, ad nauseum...expired products, higher prices, employees who fail to wash their hands. A real Wholesome Sewer.

Good morning [redacted],Please see our atatched letter in response to the complaint from [redacted].We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.Feel free to contact me for any additional concerns you might have.Take care,[redacted]

Review: This store is selling expired food products. We bought a stouffers lasagna from the frozen food isle. When we brought it home to cook it we quickly found out that the lasagna was expired since 07/2015 and it is now November 2015. I read yelp reviews on this store and they are known for selling expired food as far back as 2013 exp dates. This store needs to be looked into before someone gets sick from eating what they are selling that is supposedly fresh.Desired Settlement: I would like for someone from their corporate store to reevaluate their management. When I went into the store to complain all the manager could only say was "sorry" with no remorse and offered me a refund. He had no concern what so ever that his store is selling expired products.

Good morning [redacted],

Review: On March 10th, 2015 at approximately 5:00 pm my disabled mother unloaded her products onto a check-out aisle conveyor belt most accessible to het at the time. Being the last aisle in the store, this aisle posed the most ideal space to coordinate her checkout process in a restrained-casted leg. It turned out the most accessible aisle was also the express aisle which permitted only 10 items or less. After unloading all her items the manager verbally forced my mother to move her products to the next aisle without providing any assistance in the process. The next aisle was not accessible whatsoever (aisle 7). In response, my mother expressed how her leg is in a cast and it would be an otherwise troublesome process for her to fulfill the request of moving her products over to the next aisle. The manager condescendingly replied that she should have seen the express sign of 10 items or less and further mentioned how her leg does not seem like an excuse not move her groceries out of the aisle. After being humiliated and dehumanized in front of a line full of customers, my mother submissively was made to comply to the arduous request. Once she completed the checkout process in the less accessible aisle, my mother expressed how difficult it was to manage the situation while being so humiliated in front of other customers due to her disability. I went to personally speak to the manager about the situation. The manager responded by repeating the express lane is 10 items or less and she had no place to be in that aisle, regardless of her casted leg.

My Mother's name is [redacted]. Left leg is casted to the top of her respective leg's shin. Cast is to specifically reduce mobility in treatment of extremely developed tendinitis.

Manager's name: [redacted]Desired Settlement: To the least: a written apology and degrade in Revdex.com score. I do not want anybody to ever experience the humiliation and belittling my mother experienced on this day of March 10th, 2015 at the Wholesome Choice of Irvine, California. Truly a shameful experience to put any adult through, let alone a legally disabled patient with a large visible cast.

Review: This store opened a second branch in this location (First one in Irvine). I have been shopping from them for the past 2 years. The first year it was great with accurate pricing. For the past several months close to a year, I have noticed that the prices are very wrong and do not match what is being scant. I have complained many times and have not got anywhere with it. Even the sale prices are not honored and when you show them the ads, their respond is that if the computer does not allow it, then we can not do any thing because the prices are adjusted by the main corporate office or they translate their sale in a way that suits them. Most of the wrong prices are for bakery, wines and alcohols and some times other areas. I pay attention to prices but how many people get cheated by them and not pay attention to prices. How many times do I have to complain. Last shopping was on Sept 3rd 2014.

Date of Purchase/Incident: 09/03/2014//Desired Settlement: Requested Resolution: Fix the prices, stop translating the ads and honor what it says and be held accountable for the repeated mistakes or be in violation and pay a large fine for the price of cheating.

Supporting Documents: my receipt, the ads in paper.

Review: Wholesome choice recently mailed a booklet of coupons to my home advertising 60 products on discount in their Laguna Niguel and Irvine stores, with each product containing a code to match it to the product on the store shelf. The code was always "PLU xxxxx" where "xxxxx" is a 5 digit number. The coupon booklet was advertised strictly for the stores in Laguna Niguel and Irvine, not the Anaheim location. The store hours listed on the booklet were also erroneous.

When I visited the Wholesome Choice store in Laguna Niguel to purchase some of those products, none could be found other than pre-packaged bottled water. While variations of all the listed products existed in the store, none of them matched the identification codes shown in the coupon booklet. For example, one coupon advertises "bulk raw jumbo almonds" for $5.49/lbs. However the store doesn't sell bulk raw jumbo almonds, they only sell salted, BBQ, or roasted almonds.

Frustrated, I decided to drive up to Wholesome Choice's Irvine location and look for the same products. Exact same result. None of the products in the coupon booklet I wanted to purchase could be found in the store, but there were variations of those products on the shelves with different sale codes. Variation defined as same product from different brand with higher price tag.

When I approached an employee of the store to inquire about the advertised products, she only said the store does not carry those products and would have to issue rainchecks to me. So the next question is - what good is a raincheck if the store doesn't carry the product?

This method of advertising is an illegal 'bait and switch' tactic.Desired Settlement: I am seeking the following:

1) business discontinue bait and switch advertising practices. Business should only advertise what they can verify to be true and accurate representation of what is in their stores.

2) Business provide store credit to allow me to purchase these products (or nearest equivalent) at advertised price and quantity. For example, coupon booklet has a coupon for "cello carrots (1 lbs bag). PLU [redacted]". The store doesn't sell "cello" brand carrots, but they do sell 1 lbs bags of carrots from other brands - all at a higher price. The business should give me store credit to purchase one of those other brands at the price and quantity advertised in the coupon booklet as a substitute. That would be a fair remedy.
