Wholistic Dental Concept

On February 4, 2020 I was seen emergently by Dr. *** in his office and I was given Novocain and pomeronic X-rays were done. I was feeling loopy from the medication given and from the pain I was experiencing. I was taken to the from desk for billing purposes while under the influence the medication. I was asked to apply for care credit all the while I had good dental insurance *** I expressed to the secretary that I had the above insurance and she insisted that I fill out for this care credit insurance or I would not be seen this day. I was approved for the care credit insurance and the dental office charged me a $1000.00 fee for the care credit. I notified Aetna insurance Co and communicated with *** who informed me that a claim was never submitted on my behalf. I also received a letter from the Aetna insurance company that showed a much lesser amount then I was charged for. I strongly feel that all insurance paper work should be done prior to a patient receiving any narcotics and or sedation. I feel I was taking advantage of because I was in excruciating and agonizing pain when they requested for me to fill out for additional insurance. Dr. *** made a comment that I've played over in my mind that "If you want to get a person to submit, get them while they are in pain". I would pray that this does not happen to another one of their patrons.
