In response to the complaint ID [redacted] , we were more than willing to help him after he bought the car We spoke with him several times, and told him to bring the vehicle back in Our mechanic read the codes for the check engine light, he researched the codes and it said to change the fluids and possibly replace the solenoid (receipt attached) We didn’t hear back from him after that was doneWe tried everything what we could to fix whatever happened within the few days after his purchaseBy state law, we have to fully inspect every vehicle before it goes up for sale We get the majority of our vehicles from auctions in Wisconsin If the vehicle requires too much work and money to fix it up, we send it back to the auctionWith that in mind, we never knew his transmission would have to be replaced, or it would have been sent back to an auctionAt this point, the best we can try to offer, in good faith, is we will give him two (2) years of free oil changes and $cash Sincerely, [redacted] Wicked Wheels [redacted] ** [redacted]

Thanks A dealer is required to drive the vehicle to assess the condition before filling out the condition paperwork and selling the vehicle and I was very easily able to find a major fault after having the vehicle less than hoursI trusted that professional mechanics would have taken the appropriate steps to find this out before selling the vehicleThis vehicle was the property of the dealer since July (according to Carfax sales history) so there was more than enough time for them to do an appropriate check of this vehicleAlso, when I did bring it back, there wasn't any work done that fixed the faulty torque converter nor was any diagnosis done (changed transmission fluid on first visit, replaced a solenoid on second visit) so the check engine light would have remained on if not manually cleared which tells me it is not impossible to think the check engine light did in fact go on while Wicked Wheels owned the vehicle - (perhaps it went on, it was cleared and when it did not immediately come back on fingers were crossed and the hope was it was a minor issue that would allow a sale to be made without speculation??)My request at this point is that the cost of repair at the very least be split with me 50/as I would feel that would be an acceptable resolution if giving the benefit of the doubt that the dealer did not uncover the issue on their own prior to sale For me to be on the hook 100% is just poor business practice and says "sorry, you bought it, your problem now"Even though the dealer claims that they were not aware of the issue prior to selling it, it is obvious that the issue existed prior to purchase as there is nothing I did in the 24hours of owning the vehicle that would have blown the torque converter or clutches If the dealer is unwilling to do this, I request that the Revdex.com rating be adjusted accordingly and my complaint be public so that others can be aware of what they may be getting intoRegards, [redacted]
