I response to your letter I received concerning job for [redacted] & [redacted] ID # [redacted] there was additional work that needed to be completed before W [redacted] Home Improvement could hang the doorsThe walls were to wide so we had to install new door jams to hang the doors for an additional chargeThe customers were informed before we started the job After completing the job the customers were happyThey never contacted us to say they were having a problem with the doors closingIf she would have contacted us we would be more the happy to go out and fix whatever she is dissatisfied withIf there is anyway we can rectify the situation we would be more than happy to do so you can call me Darryl W [redacted] ###-###-####.Thank You,Darryl W [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: We have called the owner as well as the carpenter who did the job.The owner showed up only 1 time after he got home from his daughters wedding and his quote when he saw the hand written estimate from his employee was "I AM NOT DOING IT FOR THAT PRICE,THIS IS BILLY GIG AND HIS PROBLEM" THEN THE DAY bILLY SHOWED UP HE CALLED THE OWNER AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE PRICE CHANGED AND THIS IS WITH THE DOORS THAT HE MEASURED AND TOLD US TO ORDER.No one ever said we was satisfied with the job.Billy was supposed to fix the issues when he came back to do the deck.When the owner was called he stated that this was not his fin problem and to deal with fin Billy.Yes I have proof of all of the calls.We use our cell phones for home service and all calls are listed.How can he say we are satisfied when Billy tried to charge us 30. to install the door locks.When the locks were installed he was notified that the door did not line up to lock and he d=said he would fix it when he came to do the deck.He called several times saying he would be there on this day and time and never showed up.Then it was he could do it when it rained and then he never returned the calls again.I have storm doors with gaps and installed crooked.The old doors were not crooked.MOLDING that was not cut long enough.Gaps in the doors and these are doors ordered to his measurements.Also how can we be satisfied when they cut through our door bell wires,our alarm system wires and then hid them behind the molding. Had to shim a storm door with a piece of split wood that is falling out.Cut out one of the doors and then finished the top molding inside the sheetrock line.No way was we ever satisfied with this work.All we got was a ton of crap promises from this mans employee who acted as a representive of his company when he estimated and did the job.He showed up here in the owners company truck and even did our receipt on the owners letterhead invoice which makes it a problem of the owner.

Review: We were given this companies number by our realtor.We called and Bill called back and set up an appintment.He came out and did the estimate and also measured the door openings for us to order replacements.To start off with when the doors came in we called and Bill said he would be here on Sunday.That day came and went and finally we got a call stating he had a family emergency and was at the hospital.Then after several no shows we were finally able to get in touch with the owner through the realtor who then came out and said that the prices we were quoted was wrong and he would never do the job for what his representitive quoted.That weekend Bill and another employee showed up and before installing the doors he said that there was a problem and he had to raise the price because there was some kind of issue.The whole time telling us about the price increase he was on the phone with Darryl. The price went up to what the owner said he should have charged.

Then as the doors were installed the carpenter said the doors were not the right size and that we would need to go out and purchase more supplies.At that point we had no choice as the old doors had been removed and there would have been no way to cover the openings.Again Bill from this company is the person who did the measurements for the doors we had to order.

During the work the carpenter had cut through our wired door bello wires and also the door sensors on the old doors.Instead of fixing then or even telling us that this was what had happened they hid them in the wall and buried the wires making the alarm systems unuseable and unsettable making them useless.

The doors had been installed and then Bill said he would install the door knobs for still yet another charge which we did not accept.after the door knobs was installed some of the doors do not close properly and will not lock as they should.There are large gaps where there should not be any.Doors are shimmed when if they were measured correctly to start with there should be no gaps.We have tried on numerous occassions to reach Bill who did the work and also did the estimate and measurements and he has not returned our calls.We managed to speak to the owner who said that he is not responsible for the job even though Bill acted as his representitive and gave us a receipt with the company logo and letterhead as well as the owners name and number and license number.

There was other work that was estimated and the price agreed upon but that work had and has not been done.After several appointments were made only to result in no shows we left a message that we would not have any other work done except for the repairs to the work that had already been done.Desired Settlement: We are a disabled couple and we want the doors to operate as they are supposed to do.We want the doors to be installed properly and the finished product to look good as we were told it would.We want the alarm system repaired AND under the circumstances we would rather not have the same carpenter unless the quality of his work has improved.The repairs were to be done when they came out to do the deck repairs but several appointments were made and were never kept or called to let us know he was not going to make it.

Numerous call were made aqnd messages left with no call back at all from thr installer.The business owner states we need to deal with his employee even though he acted in the interest of the owner and receipt given is on Owners paperwork.
